And the reason, in my opinion, is because it is embarrassingly easy to get into a random law school, the school then does a piss-poor job at training its students, and the state bars at the end are almost always a joke with pass rates often above 50%. I can't think of any other profession where you can be so unqualified, and yet be allowed to practiced.
