For example, if I'm at work and my boss tells me to go and put away the bread because she couldn't get around to it because she had to go fix some paper work mistakes, it's like, I don't need to know why I need to do it. Just ask me to go and do it and I will. I work in food service and deal with that a lot with people complaining. If there's a take-a-penny leave-a-penny tray and they leave it in there, that's different. TC is in the right. The thing is though, the person who took your order, didn't make the burger. He or she is still at the register taking orders, so when you go back up to the counter and yell "I said no pickles!" You're yelling at the wrong person. Thats not an excuse. The register person still fucked up. Doesnt matter if its at McDonalds or a 5 star restaurant. The tickets go to the back and tell the cook exactly how the customer ordered it. Again this is fast food, its not like the cook has 20 burgers on the grill and cant remember which ones are supposed to be well done, which ones are rare, the toppings on them, etc. That doesn't mean the register employee fucked up. They could put no pickles on the ticket and the cook could still put pickles. If you're trying to bust things out fast to keep up with the rush, sometimes you miss something on the tag when you glance at it. Especially if it's a modification like that, since after working awhile, making the food standard becomes muscle memory.
