Funcoot 04/12/23 6:39:25 PM #66 | Zero_Destroyer posted... the idea of a book a season is completely insane, it only makes sense if you ignore the fact that the book length of the season is not uniformI think it'll work fine. Different seasons can have different episode counts. The first couple books could probably flesh out stuff that happened off screen in the books, and the later books have plenty of material to cover a whole season each. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |
Topic | In retail, when a product is under the wrong price label..... |
Funcoot 04/11/23 3:18:24 PM #3 | In this scenario, you're saying the product is completely different from the label? Of course they shouldn't get the lower price, regardless of who put it there. I could see it if the label was the correct product but rang up at a different price though, then the lower price should be honored. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |
Topic | Best Mario Golf game ? |
Funcoot 04/10/23 9:06:51 PM #3 | I really like Super Rush, but I think I'd put Toadstool Tour above it. TT feels more like Mario Golf, where SR felt more like Golf, featuring Mario. If that makes sense. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |

Topic | Is Disneyworld the superior orlando amusement park or Universal? |
Funcoot 04/09/23 4:56:32 PM #2 | Universal definitely has more intense rides, if that's what you're into, but Disney just has a level of polish and immersion that can't be beat. Universal feels like you're walking around an amusement park, but Disney almost feels like another world, especially in Galaxy's Edge. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |

Funcoot 04/06/23 2:14:18 AM #20 | I don't think the smile left my face the entire movie. It was so fun. I think my only real complaint is that it could have been a little longer, it felt like they just moved from scene to scene super fast. I LOVED that --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |
Topic | HBO is making a Harry Potter television series. |
Funcoot 04/03/23 9:16:22 PM #45 | I've been wanting this for years. I think the toughest part will be casting. So many bigger name British actors were already used in the movies, and some, like Hagrid and Snape, are hard to imagine as anyone but Robbie Coltrane and Alan Rickman, respectively. Just for fun, who are some actors that haven't been in the movies that you think would fit? I could see Cate Blanchett as McGonagall. Benedict Cumberbatch could be a good Snape, but has the same problem Rickman had, in that he's way older than the character is supposed to be. They should get Jared Harris as Dumbledore, IMO. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |
Topic | How much money do we need to afford a $500-$800k home? |
Funcoot 03/28/23 5:24:36 AM #6 | I make about $70K gross and I bought a house at $230K 5 years ago with no money down, and I manage alright. So I would think with a decent down payment, you could probably swing around $500K. Just books, not movies. Hogwarts Legacy has gotten me into a Harry Potter mood, curious what other people think. I don't think it's a super popular pick, but mine is Half-Blood Prince. I really like the focus on Voldemort's back story, and while it doesn't feel the most action-packed, the Battle of Hogwarts is great. As a side note, I'd say Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets are easily the weakest, but they're still enjoyable enough. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |

Funcoot 02/08/23 3:50:38 AM #10 | Loving it so far. I've played 6-7 hours and I don't think I'm even far into the story. Hogwarts is huge, and it feels satisfying to explore and find things. I'm think I'm gonna have to force myself to do more story stuff so I can get more spells to explore even more. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |

Funcoot 02/07/23 5:55:28 AM #5 | I got lucky with my dealership experience the one time I bought a car off a lot. They didn't do in-house financing, so couldn't try to sell me on that. They did offer extended warranties, but just gave me a pamphlet with the details and didn't push it at all. I also got really lucky that I just happened to buy it a few months before Covid hit, so prices were still decent. --- The answer to the question nobody asked. |
