TopicWhat is your take on ''cultural appropriation''?

Cultural appropriation isn't a sin. I often appropriate cultural recipes for my own pleasure. I cook it with glee and eat it with joy and boy, oh boy, you should hear the inconsiderate moans and sighs of pleasure just OOZING from my white body. They ooze in more ways than one.

This sounds like a legal battle over trademarking, which is defined by law and determined through the court system when dispute arises. "Cultural appropriation" is a made-up thing that has no bearing on our laws. I don't know enough about trademarks to take their side or not take their side but clearly, "cultural appropriation" is not the issue at hand here.

I've already pointed out the differences between the right-wing and the left-wing (from general observation) on this subject. All you're doing is denying and acting incredulous without really saying anything substantive. You might as well exclaim, "Are you KIDDING ME?! You're a white male!" over and over.

I don't think you can explain away the current left-wing's hypocritical and racially motivated double-standards as it relates to religion.

This isn't a topic about Jeff Sessions. You're deflecting but I'll take you up on this.

That new directive or whatever by Sessions is not aligned with one religion over any other. There is no favoritism displayed here.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/speech/attorney-general-sessions-delivers-remarks-department-justice-s-religious-liberty-summit

"I issued that guidance in October, and it lays out 20 fundamental principles for the Executive Branch to follow.

Those include the principle that free exercise means a right to actor to abstain from action.

They include the principle that government shouldnt impugn peoples motives or beliefs.

We dont give up our rights when we go to work, start a business, talk about politics, or interact with the government.

We dont give up our rights when we assemble or join together. We have religious freedom as individuals and as groups.

In short, we have not only the freedom to worshipbut the right to exercise our faith. The Constitutions protections dont end at the parish parking lot nor can our freedoms be confined to our basements.

Under this administration, the federal government is not just reactingwe are actively seeking, carefully, thoughtfully and lawfully, to accommodate people of faith. Religious Americans are no longer an afterthought."

"Since January 2017, we have obtained 11 indictments and seven convictions in cases involving arson or other attacks or threats against houses of worship. Our Civil Rights Division has also obtained 12 indictments in other attacks or threats against people because of their religion.

And we are not slowing down.

Three weeks ago, we obtained a jury verdict against a man who set fire to a mosque in Texas and sentenced for a man from Missouri for threatening to kill members of a mosque."

I need bees to poolinate my squash blossoms.

It's been so rainy lately and it's discouraging them from pollinating my blossoms.

Antifa lost and that's a good thing. Antifa isn't welcome in Portland anymore. They ought to know they'll be rounded up from now on. This was their first and only warning. They don't understand the country has changed for the better and that they're a relic of the past but I hope they understand this lesson!

My point is that conservatives aren't putting Christianity on a pedestal whereas the left-wing puts Islam on a pedestal.

The far-left's infatuation with Islam is borne from racism. It originates from their racist assumption that Islam is an inherent characteristic of Arabs.

No one's calling those who are critical of Christianity racists. No one's calling them Christophobes either. Maybe they should.

I'd expect that the most vehement anti-white racists essentially see Christianity as a "white" religion. Afterall, to them, everything revolves around race.

Religion is a choice, isn't it?

Is criticism or simply dislike of a religion a taboo thing to do now according to the left-wing? Don't make me laugh!

To think that Islam, and only Islam, deserves to be placed on some protected pedestal is delusional.

Melania's focus on cyber-bullying is how it pertains to vulnerable children, not adults. Other than that I don't know much about it. It's one of those boring 1st Lady things.
