Some years later, Marvel decided to hire John Byrne to revitalize Spidey because he got low sales, and Byrne had one demand... He wouldnt write any Spidey books unless he could bring back Aunt May.
And because of that, Marvel came up with a very contrived reason. You see, that woman who died in that heartbreaking story? That wasnt the real Aunt May. It wasnt even a clone of her. It was a genetically altered actress who stood in for May while May was held captive for years by Norman Osborn.
Osborn returned May to Peter with a device planted inside her that would detonate a series of gene bombs if removed, decimating Earth. They managed to disable the device and May lost her memories of when she was in captive, and it was never mentioned again.

To be fair, Oregon Trail have been ported so many times so you should be able to complete it on a modern PC.

...the first time... they decided to make J.R. talk to himself in a mirror in the last episode, and then we heard a gunshot. Then we had to wait five years before he returned in a TV movie.
You talk about plotholes, we had a whole season being retconned into a dream because one of the main actors decided that he would try his luck in Hollywood and had the director kill him, just to return begging on his knees when he couldnt get any big roles. And the crossovers that happened with other TV series didnt care that it had been a dream, so we got split multiverses long before the capes did it.
And the game based on the show suddenly added magic to the plot and nobody seemed to care about that, it was like Harry Potter on drugs!
