May talk about plot stuff but vague and spoiler-free unless spoiler tags present. Will try to disambiguate when it comes to titles that are shared between multiple movies if I know them to be. Brightburn (interesting idea, not great execution. Mostly top tier kills though imo) Slither (a bit too campy but fun watch. Good cast) Maniac (With Elijah Wood (to disambiguate from other movies of the same name). Very uncomfortable to watch. The victims really did not deserve their fates, and the one who was arguably the shittiest person got the most brutal and uncomfortable death to watch. Everything about it was extremely disturbing. I didn't enjoy watching it, but I don't think anyone was meant to >_>. In that sense, it did its job very effectively) X (The best in this entire batch here. I pretty much agree with Dead Meat James in all aspects of it, but I'd give the best kill award to a different one) Debug (low budget CGI-heavy campy space scifi horror movie with Jason Mamoa not putting in his best work >_>) Upgrade (not exclusively horror but it has a Kill Count so I'm counting it, and few of those kills were great) Truth or Dare (To disambiguate, this is the one with the creepy smiles on people. Those smiles were effectively creepy for being compared to simple camera app filter. I didn't think the acting was all that good in it though.) Unfriended: Dark Web (a lot better than original imo. The pixel effect was annoying but the visuals were smoother than the first one) Don't Breathe ( at everything about the turkey baster. Didn't know it was Sam Raimi going into it, but when I found out, I was like "yep, makes sense >_>") (all of these were first time views) Will post more probably in batches like this periodically --- Always check timestamps... |

In one episode, I knew who the killer was before the murder even happened because the camera randomly zoomed in an a seemingly normal and mundane object that ended up being the murder weapon. I was like "that's weird. The only reason the show would do that is if that thing ends up being the murder weapon and the person in possession of it is the killer."
