With the cost of living so low you can live right off the lake and it's like having a beach in your backyard. Political side I can't argue but there's red states on the East coast too. Outside of west coast you'll encounter that anywhere. uh i live in virginia (moved from cali) the virginia beaches are terrible. Coastal cities are amazing

Then with the collapse of the Soviet Union, there was just the US. If we draw back now, the vacuum will be filled with aggressive expansionary powers like Russia, China, Turkey, and Iran. Unfortunately, the countries that expand aggressively are not exactly countries that hold up human rights or democratic values. Countries that actually care about that stuff tend to be isolationist. So we're stuck in a bind where withdrawing means that these shady expansionary powers will take our place. What we need to do is try to get our allies to take up more of the burden, which we are slowly doing. i mean one of the primary reasons the u.s. is a superpower today is europe essentially blew itself up. sure made the american dollar stong though. these people arent ever going to pick up the burden.
