Even if it was an insensitive joke it's still a joke and not an actual attack on her, like I could understand taking it the wrong way if it was some random person but it was literally a stand up comedian, everything he says on stage should be taken as a joke, not some serious attack. Spend an afternoon with someone who has alopecia and then tell them its just a joke, its not an attack on you when they get called out on national tv for something they have no control over and that already causes them daily if not hourly distress. The constant readjustment of wigs, hats, having to worry about meeting new people and general daily self consciousness. Im struggling to understand how you cant see that if something causes someone so much anxiety and insecurity on a daily basis, its not okay to ridicule them over it on national tv unprovoked. Especially if were to believe reports that this isnt the first hes targeted Jada for her hair loss. The its just a joke/its just hair loss thing is bizarre. People are going so far out of their own way and bending over backwards to minimise this issue I find it strange. --- *walks away* |

The emotional distress that hair loss causes is real. Oftentimes if you have alopecia, the last thing you want is for someone to bring it up, let alone joke about it, let alone on national tv. Believe it or not, it can be even more distressing for women because its not as common for women to lose their hair. You can all clown on Will as much as you want but the its just hair loss attitude is wrong. His behaviour was inexcusable but the joke was insensitive especially considering this isnt the first time Chris has referenced Jadas hair loss. --- *walks away* |
