Will is a fish out of water and has to learn how to fit in and adjust to life in bel air. How exactly is this not the same story? Your argument is its different because of the way they tell the same story?

By the same token every retelling of Spider-Man is different. Kid name Peter Parker gets bit by a radioactive spider and gets super powers. His uncle Ben dies and he has to live with his single aunt may and fight bad guys. Ok peters personality changes slightly between each instance of the retelling, few things change here and there.

i could go on and on with different franchises. Idk what you guys are on about but okay lol

Changing a few of the main characters personalities doesnt change the story. And like I said before changing the day to day happenings of each episode doesnt change the overall premise of the story anyway. Im still confused how people can consider the story to be that different

The overall arch is the same, yes obviously the day to day episodes are all very different but idk how anyone can claim just because its a drama instead of a comedy its not the same story.

Carlton isn't a caricature, and a few of the other characters have some actual depth. It ain't the greatest show or something I'm dying to see the next episode of, but it doesn't totally suck either.

what are you on about? It has everything to do with the original. It literally follows the exact same premise as the original show and adds some depth/fleshes out a few things the original only touches on.

Dont really understand how people are shitting on it without even watching it. I wasnt interested in the show either till I actually watched an episode, its great.

Except Squid Game was pretty bad. They had a plot twist that didn't do anything, and another plot twist that actually hurt the show. Only hack writers like David Cage do stupid shit like that.
