When I was a kid I certainly thought all the quicksand in shifting sand land was a pain in the ass but I loved getting to explore inside the pyramid. I suppose it doesnt seem like a big deal now but at the time wow the inside is a whole second map! was really exciting.

And Hazy Maze Cave has always been a combination of frustrating and fun but I loved just how vast and expansive it felt, like there were secrets within secrets I could explore for ages.

Bought the Incredible Hulk complete collection, 40 years of the avengers, amazing Spider-Man complete collection, xmen complete collection, and captain America complete collection dvds

each one contains 500+ comics, every one marvel published from 1960 ish (aka the very start) to 2007 for each series.

Each one used to retail like 50 bucks but was now going for like 150 or more. Snagged a few good deals like Spidey for 70 bucks. Its all worth it, hell of a deal really.

I'm up to Snowbound in ONRUSH. After going through 80% or so through the game, I think that I prefer the increased handling of the lower vehicle classes over the power of the higher classes. Vortex and Outlaw might be my favorite vehicles now.

I'm about 20% through Gato Roboto. This game is a little more challenging than I expected. I was aggressively careless in the first fight to where I died twice. Since then, I have only died when outside of a vehicle since it is a one-hit death as a cat. I wish there was an incentive for attacking enemies. I ignore them the best that I can as a result.

It's funny, I think the way you play in Onrush is actually kind of like how you do it in Mario Kart. I tend to love maining Bowser or another heavyweight, and the Titan was by far my favorite vehicle.

I got 100% and Beat Gato Roboto. I was around 5 and a half hours when I finished. I enjoyed it quite a bit, a lot of Metroid, some Mega Man and even a bit of blaster master feel when you have to leave the suit and run around as a kitty. Very cute game, leaves me wanting a sequel though..

#41: Winter Solstice - Part 2 (1.08)

Before rewatching, I remembred this episode being a big moment in the season while Part 1 was more of a boring set up. Now, I've grown to appreciate Part 1 much more, while realizing this one is more like a simple exposition episode.

Don't get me wrong, it's cool stuff. We have the kids trying to break into a FN temple, meeting a priest who is loyal to his traditions rather than to his nation, being captured, having Zuko and Zhao fight for the prize, and finally having Sokka set a very intelligente plan to bait the fire nation into opening the special door for them. Ultimately, though, it's just so that Aang can receive a simple piece of info about what his time limit is, a fact that won't become relevant again until the episode I just ranked in the previous post. Then he gets to incarnate Roku, kick some ass, and leave to resume his quest.

It's a nice episode, but it also kind of feels like an obligatory step in the plot that doesn't do a lot of special stuff.

An episode where the big reveal of information is one of the big kickers, as well as the expectation of getting some information is an episode that just doesnt rewatch as well; the first time theres this feeling they might learn something that will CHANGE EVERYTHING and it keeps the tension high; then what they do learn isnt as useful as that, but is still a cool enough new idea that on a first watch, you can basically forgive it not being as amazing a reveal because it was still a good one and you want to see where its going. The full context of the future makes it harder to accept the lesser reveal as worth the buildup, whereas on a first watch it was still cool.

Personally Id say its not the best time to invest in stocks because wave two is going to crest and slap them down all over again. The trick is to figure out how many waves there will be and invest just after the last one.... also I have no idea what the answer is to that.

Missouri is doing surprisingly well for me. I submitted in late March, ten days later I was accepted and Ive been getting it weekly ever since plus a 600 dollars bonus per week as some sort of coronavirus relief thing. Its been a lifesaver and I honestly wasnt expecting it from a red state.

It's one of the Crunchyroll funded series for the season, yes. Both it and the other one, Villainess in Another World, are arguably the best shows of the season.

It's a strong season, though, even with all the big name shows delayed!

I'm really in the mood for an action anime, almost like a Shonen, but a lot shorter, better written and less filler.

I like the heavy focus on weapons/abilities as well as interesting combat matchups. Tournament arcs tend to help with that a lot.

Maybe something like Bleach, Soul Eater, or MHA. But like I said without a lot of their flaws.

I don't have a vehicle class ranking per se, but I tend to choose The Blade or The Enforcer when given the opportunity

I figured out the one I liked, the Titan. Thats my favorite hands down.

Also I like the game a lot better with the sound off. Oh god Ive become my mother.

I do not. I really dont care for the aesthetic, with rooms and personal icons and a lobby feel. And giving out al those awards to ais at the end like the game wishes it was multiplayer.

tbh I havent played them in quite a few generations other than kart racers. Think I last played a grab turismo game on ps2. I was hoping it would be more like destruction derby for the ps1.

A couple pieces of trivia before we start out:
* One of my favorite manga artists, or Suekane Kumiko, did the character design on almost all major characters in this first game. Her Phoenix Wright illustrations are top notch, look them up sometime if you have the chance. You won't regret it. [for ease of Googling: Suekane Kumiko Phoenix Wright ]
* The original Japanese title of the franchise is [pronounced: Gyakuten Saiban], which literally means "Turnabout Trial". This really helped clear up the seemingly weird obsession nearly all these case titles have with the word 'turnabout'.
Ill take these cases in order, just because its the most logical thing to do. And I did say progressive spoilers, did I not? Just reiterating that, in case someone missed it.

Case 1-1 - The First Turnabout

We meet Larry Butz, and are told by our main character Phoenix Wright that when something smells its usually the Butz. Apparently in Japanese the name pun is I already knew it, with certainty - and when Larrys involved, you pretty much know it. Poor Larry was dating a pretty model, and we came to find that a bungled burglar killed her when she came home from travelling overseas. Sadly, she was killed with blunt force trauma by Larrys gift to her - a speaking clock shaped like Rodins The Thinker sculpture. Despite his rep as something of a hamfisted fellow, its a very well-made object.

Phoenix Wright stands by his old school chum by figuring out that Frank Sahwit, the witness giving testimony, is actually our larcenous murderer. He tries to pin the crime on the hapless Larry Butz, and is foiled by time zone differences. Weve all been there, right? #relatable

Culprit: Frank Sahwit is memorable as the first witness sprite you see go through a series of increasingly grotesque transformations, as the truth is uncovered by titular defense lawyer Mr Wright.

Overall: This was my least favorite of the AA1 cases. Although it holds a nostalgic spot as the first case you win, its easily supplanted by more challenging cases later on in the game.

Yeah, I have to agree on ranking. Although the fact that I think its also an excellently concise snippet of what makes the series great and a pretty fun case anyway is just a testament to how great the first game was.
