I work at a Walmart, but we should all remember that in North America, the NES Classic debuted on NOVEMBER 11th, 2016. There were dozens of people lined up outside the Walmart in the smallish city I live in at 7am in the morning. They fully expected the store to open earlier than noon on a holiday dedicated to honouring fallen and serving veterans at 11:11am. There were even people in line that wanted nothing to do with the NES Classic. I could not believe the entitlement of all those people. And the Medicine Hat Walmart received 28 Classics that day! After they were all gone, then we got the garden variety butt-flustered customers that blamed us for all of Nintendo's stock issues. It was a bad day. --- You come up with something better!

I really like that they just don't want to rely on success from their movies, unlike Marvel. For me, I haven't been buying many comics because I don't really make that much. I really wanted to wait until I got a better-paying job for me to start collecting books monthly again. But I've also been waiting for stuff to hit trades. I've always thought that advertising comics on tv might help to jump start the industry again. if you don't have a lot of money, paperback trades are the way to go IMO. But seriously, I think there needs to be a move more towards web-comic shit for the major publishers. They're hanging on to what is effectively the dead newspaper format. Yes, I get that Comixology and shit is a thing, but having to pay money to read every individual comic is not a sustainable business practice despite the killer sales coming out of Rebirth. Marvel got a huge head start by having a Marvel Unlimited service, but there is still no way to read most comics for free. IMO, big 2 comics can adopt more of a WWE style of show. pick a few series, say, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc... then put the issue online every month, and then every major plot point, usually every 6th issue, get people to check out "what happens next" over at comixology for $2.99 or something. Then when issue 7 comes out, move the past 6 issues into an "unlimited" style subscription where you can go through and read a backlog. Here is the thing with digital comics. It takes away everything about how comics are supposed to be read, and until comic book sized e-readers come out, that won't change in the slightest. --- You come up with something better!

Tbf, I wouldn't consider a 24-pack of canned sodas to be something so heavy that you can't put it on the belt. I once had a customer put so much crap on the belt, it would not move. It isn't good for the belts, so don't put them on there, full stop. If you need more, I am indeed physically capable of lifting said heavy items once in a while. Lifting, dragging, and awkwardly curving my back carrying 25+lbs of product several dozen times a day, over the course of a week, a month, a year, however, WILL get to you. Also, I have a hand scanner to reach these items. Why lift that kind of stuff more than you have to? To show off your slick muscles at the grocery store? --- You come up with something better!

Setting items on the counter as far away as physically possible from you so you literally have to lean over the counter to reach it. - Seriously, our counter is already wider than it really needs to be to begin with. When you place it on the far corner opposite me, you're just being an inconsiderate ass. I usually just leave it closer to my side of the counter in response so they then have to lean over to grab it too. Nobody's said anything about this one yet. I think it's subtle enough that they just don't notice, but it's one of those simple pleasures for me. 3. Not paying attention to the prompts when using a credit/debit card. - This is just sheer stupidity at its finest. Our card reader has 3 prompts. First it asks if you want cash back, then to verify the amount, and then Yes/No for Debit/Credit. I've actually had someone fail at this 4 times in a single transaction. First he said Yes to cash back, then when it asked the amount he said he didn't want cash back. So I restarted and he hit No to cash back, and then immediately hit No to verify the amount and cancelled the transaction. I explained what he did, reset it, and he did the same thing again. The fourth attempt I walked him through step-by-step, and he hit Yes to Debit on the last question, then when asked for a PIN he said he wanted to run it as Credit. Then why the flying fuck did you say Yes for Debit when I explicitly told you to hit NO FOR CREDIT. -_- Fifth time's the charm, I guess. You work at a Walmart, don't you? --- You come up with something better!
