Everything about that segment the other night was great, except for how hard they buried Seth and his belt.

They still somehow don't realize how bad it is to call one of your world titles the loser's bracket. Even if it's Reigns doing it as a heel bit. You can't just bury guys like that it makes everyone around that belt look worse.

I also love Lesnar but not being as good as Kevin Owens isn't an indictment.

It sucks that they had to call this as an audible, because if they'd known this was the plan before the Rumble, they could've gone with someone like Gunther winning the Rumble and challenging Seth at Mania, that way you don't ostensibly waste Cody's Rumble victory.

But I need some help from you guys first. I remember there being a HUGE internet dust up over the finale to Mass Effect. I can't remember the details specifically but I feel like a lot of it was over the way the story finished up?

I'm not going to waste my time with 3+ games if they The Last of Us 2'd the story. I'm already incredibly aggrieved because the fanfiction in question, the author appears to have either passed away or disappeared off the internet forever. I'm so traumatized I'm to the point where I may never start a book/series again unless I know the author has it finished.

The story in question btw is Man Off The Moon by FiendLurcher, if you want to get yourself incredibly invested like I did. Basically he puts EMIYA (Archer) into the Mass Effect series and has him build relationships w all the favorite characters from it. I found I REALLY liked the Mass Effect chars and basically FiendLurcher did all the buildup and got to where the first Mass Effect starts-ish, before disappearing. It's to the point where I wish I could find a similarly talented author with as deep a knowledge of both Fate and ME lore where they could finish the story for them, but finding someone with their writing style and attention to detail would be a real challenge.

But I AT LEAST would like to finish the Mass Effect side of things for myself. And I know board 8 loves its Mass Effect so I figured you guys could give me a heads up about whether the story got a satisfactory ending or whatever. Thanks for whatever help you can give.

Also I don't give a even a single fuck about spoilers so don't feel compelled to hide anything from me. I've basically pieced together who is good/who is bad/who is a double-crosser from FiendLurcher's story already.

The seiyuu is so fuckin good. She puts a "magical girl" spin on Caster Saber voice that's such a subtle but noticeable touch. God-tier stuff.

I haven't caught up on this topic because I was inspired to go watch Heavens Feel myself. But I gotta say, what a fucking mess of a first movie lol. It was so disjointed and incoherent and hard to follow. I assume they expect you to already be intimately familiar with Stay Night and UBW to fill in the many blanks and jumps. But it's been many years since I've seen anything Fate related and I'm just so lost. They made no effort to catch you up or make it digestible for a first time watcher. And I can only hope the next two are a little more straight forward and coherent <_<

The animation was awesome at least.

You literally have to be coming into HF from just watching UBW.

The slice of life/careless sort of manner they're all acting under is definitely meant to make the viewer have this unrelenting sort of dread for what we know is coming and the movie is reliant on you knowing that. You should go watch UBW before continuing on!

I watched the first season of Kaguya after it aired and for some reason never got back to it, despite absolutely loving it.

5 episodes in, I didn't really know what to expect here.

This is the most Japanese thing I've ever watched. Also the funniest. The dialogue is so sharp. When Senjougahara told him not to spit when he talked coz she didn't want to "catch virginity" from him I about died.

Anyway, this is such a change of pace from Fate... and like anything else I've ever watched but I'm hooked for sure.

While I'm watching this we should brainstorm something else for me to watch IMO

I'm hoping the other characters are as engaging as Senjougahara is and that I'm not just waiting to watch those interactions while the rest feel like filler.

I wanted to say that Lost Butterfly was my favorite of the three. I did enjoy the Sakura... "content" but I think my favorite scene was when she was having her Alice in Wonderland dream and then they showed what was actually happening. I had a feeling that IRL she was being attacked in an alley by some creeps who then panicked when she fuckin ATE one of them lmao.

My gf sat with me while I was watching and every time Gil was on screen she said she liked him. Imagine BOTH our shock when she ate him too lmao

also the Sakura/Rin fight wasn't as lit as the Saber/Medusa one, but I thought it was phenomenal just the same. Rin finding the mystical rainbow dagger made seemingly just for this fight was a little lame, but the emotions between the two sisters were perfect.
