If so I'd probably start at the origin of that aspect. If not, I'd either choose a specific culture/country and start at the beginning or choose a time period and fill that in to your liking before moving on to a new one.

For reference I choose to start with feudalism. From there I pretty much jumped all over the place. I think I went Renaissance era and then went into events like war of the roses and the fall of Rome, which interested me enough to just go through all of Rome again. So on and so forth.

I think this is the only time in the game where there's been endless enemies too so it throws me off. Up until now i've been able to be meticulous and use cover and take it section by section but here it seems like the slower you go the more outnumbered you get.

Yes I know it's the final mission but it should just be a fuckload of guards, not infinite.

I'm on the last mission in Everything Or Nothing and it's just a giant room with endless enemies coming from everywhere. You can't even breathe let alone form a strategy for progressing. I hate when i'm not sure if I should be tactical or just go Rambo and hope I don't die because the enemies are endless anyway.

Honestly, nowadays I prefer option 2, where yeah i'll die here and there, but it should take no more than like 3 tries to clear a section. Since i've become an adult with a full time job and other obligations, video game time is more precious so I don't like feeling like i'm "wasting time" by doing the same thing over and over and failing at it.

I've been playing Everything Or Nothing lately and the middle difficulty setting is like perfect. Some missions i've beaten in one go, some it's taken a small handful of times, but once I know the layout and what's coming, I beat it.
