1. you definitely don't want to implement it in that other way.
2. Lightning bolt was never the problem to begin with, spamming it was.

Well my point is there are plenty of mercs who SHOULD be valid targets that are not thanks to the way they were written up.

Like...she has no plot hype. Literally zero. We have instances of her failing at taking out dudes you would absolutely take, say, Raiden to manhandle.

I see an incredibly fast and dodgy gunner with bullets that dont even need to hit you to hit you.

Shes a rare instance where her gameplay is more hype than her cutscenes

Yeah this is what I was getting with the salt shaker comment. If you set aside the pokedex level ridiculous numbers assigned hes like...not anywhere near 2B when it comes to what the eyes see?

I just think the versatility presented is being underrated especislly since even sans limited use stuff can be recharged.

The games only 52 weeks long and most of Sans upgrade abilities are match swingers if used at right time.

Darknites too honestly with 7 preselects on the 7 ones that swing matchups plus some lucky chancers

It being a draw does help somewhat but I still think it needs to be a weaker suite of abilities in general because otherwise why buy a PS with ONE strong ability when you can have another with DOZENS of them some of which are OP?

War takes nearly 2 days before there are topics ready to go anyway ubless both sides are very quick with their abils and I would much prefer match topics Monday-Tuesday-Wendesday than Thursday-Friday-Saturday.

I did what I could but K Rool ate a shit load of removals and the one battle he couldve made a difference vs Mewtwo I fucked up my abil declarstion.

But yes "borrowing a gun from BJ" is among the more constrained things he can do.

I also think both Sans and Darknite need deep 6d.

Theyre both very thick very hard to plan against and mostly the abulities they grant are too fuckin good. Why would I ever buy Len, who has a good but not OP static ability, when those two are just bonkers insane levels of better than her?

Imo Cyberdemon SHOULD be a 4/week as I would take most 4/weeks to kill him 1v1 (and 5/weeks do so without any issue) but I definitely feel he was getting 5/week respect for sure

I was, other than the last topic, only using him in situations where he was the 3rd or 4th most importsnt guy and where his main role was to face tank, which is his main value.

Fwiw I dont think his upgrade got any respect over where he started which is interesting.

Yeah I say scuttle batman. Boko had him not just super strong but with a full blown teleport and he still needed to get me down to .5 mid tier mercs to get much out of batman. The Batmobile is the only thing that makes him a 5 and honest to god: fuck that.

Re: Cyberdemon he has NO abilities AT ALL. He is just battle worth. He ought to be strong. Im not sure he would have been too too oppressive in low outside his terrain being kinda bonkers in low.

Onto the questionaire:

I did have fun. I think some abils need to be more strongly stated. I also think time stops and loops need tossed. Just not fun.

I think the best part was the new terrains made terrain bidding feel interactive and more strategic

I dont like the AP systems proneness to spam. It means every ability needs to be balanced or lightened in impact to avoid being overwhelming. Abilities being strong is fun if you get to cycle through them but even through 6 weeks things got pretty stale.

I mostly like the new innovations but the terrain bidding and declarstion system didnt have the rubber banding effect and i think contributed to the staleness that crept in at the end.

I think Tifa is a pretty lame build unless you have AP to spare which doesnt feel like its gonna be common. I think Meta Knight is very leon kennedyish where I desperately wanted to buy him but dont think id get anywhere close to 3/week respect for him. Meanwhile I think Neku needs...something. just seems really ticky tacky as is and is very easy to argue out of existence. I also think Sol is a bad merc as he stands. Hes pure overcosted battle worth and fighting game characters living on lore worth is a big ask saleswise.

Cooper and BT. His ability suite is insane and the big mech should be easy to sell. Also dont sleep on Estinien. A 4 week safe from a lot of fuckery is gonna be key to winning this game I think.

The place is crawling with Lost Souls? Hes surrounded by people where hes starting and most spots on the map are gonna be observed by someone.

I also think a factor helping me here is Zags access to Aphrodite dash, he can be dashing in ans inflicting weak and thej dashungnout causing chain lightning and really helping slow the enemy teams roll.

I meqn team batman is stuck in a box to start this fight. I think hes gonna have a hard time gettibg out of eyeshot of his team

Inside, it really depends on if V heads further in and which direction Batman's team goes. I think I remember something about V seeing through walls. Is that true?

Well Cyberdemon doesnt actually have a fixed start point its just over by one of the outer pillars

I also thibk its worth pointing out again that Cyber Demon doesnt have to worry about friendly fire at all which lets BJ use his rockets and miniguns with more or less reckless abandon and that Cyberdemons ability to hold aggro sort of speaks for itself.

I feel like V, who is a solo operator, when left his own devices...solo operates.

The Lost Souls operate under Doom rules here. They'll chase the team opposing the Cyberdemon (teams, in this case) but will strike back at Cybie D's team if hurt by them.

Right and normally we wouldnt but Zag here is bleeding and needs to hit things to heal so they would be attacking us.

"Tower of Babel" maybe implies to you that its a big tower but its really not. Its a relatively confined area similar to the sort of map youd see on PvP fps games of the day like Quake with the enemy team starting in a box and then fanning out into this outer area.

Fwiw the second you run into a lost soul and you know shoot it Cyberdemons insantly aware and runs at you so its not really THAT big.

V is far more likely to just take care of herself.

The Lost Souls are hostile to everyone.

Even Cyberdemon gets attacked by them in Doomguy is clever enough in Doom.

Heavily leaning Team Batman because it's close to a 5v1v2. Zagreus has practically killed himself taking the Guan Yu spear, which passively lowers his max health by 50% to 70% depending on upgrade level. Combined with V's relic reducing max health by 50% and draining it, he might legit drop dead from time passing, and even his death defiances will be worse off since they restore him to half of his max hp (which is being double reduced, so at best he's going to 12.5% of his normal HP instead of 50%, possibly lower if weapons aren't full upgraded).

For what its worth, I literally asked Kanz this exact question and he said it wouldnt further reduce like that

Tldr the numbers advantage is made up by the fact thar bokos team has to come out of a box which limits his ability to use things like the batmobile or to really plan or do much of anything that plays to his strengths.

Its also made up by the fact that Zag and CyberDemon need to lose multiple times to die

You know maybe.

Tails is very squish. Very. Squish. He would absolutely get sniped out of the sky if he just flew around carelessly. If he wants to scout, he can try, but it's real risky and as his team's only healer that seems like a poor use of him. Sypha and Goku can both handle sniping him out of the sky if he's even a little bit exposed. Plus him being out front means RAY can't go completely ham, which it seems like RAY would be best off doing.

Legit all Tails needs to accomplish with scouting is "hey they're that way" for KONG its not like were asking her to find hidden passages or whatever.
