Realms of Magic seems to have a lot of negative reviews.

It's also got a lot of reviews. 83% of people that have played an hour of it recommend it. It's considered a decent game at worst, and it does a lot of things that most games like it don't. And they're still improving it.

I had it for SNES, that was a really fun one.

The SNES version was sadly a very watered down port, and IIRC it crashed like crazy.

Lots of things happening very quickly, lots to dodge. There's a cool mechanic where everyone gets split into groups of two people and get tethered to each other. One of them has a circle centered on them, and their partner can't leave the circle. And they need to stack with another player but not with each other. Also the tether slows both players. It's neat.

Damn getting forced into groups of 2. Sounds like the raid expects all 30? peopel to be really good at the game.

I wanna find someone that's like this, or at least somewhat close.

I'm looking for someone that's educated and does research and isn't afraid to share their honest opinions, and at the same time isn't completely cynical about games and still enjoys playing a lot of new games, and of course knows how to entertain. Bonus points if they refuse to cover the Harry Potter RPG.

Again, they don't need to be exactly like this, but it'd be nice to find something like this that's close.

Put more time into Binary Domain (PC, 2012). I'm actually enjoying this game quite a bit despite the braindead enemy AI and wishy washy voice commands.

* Girls Bath. IDK. Just a seedy underground place where we met a Yakuza boss for some intel. This was a short section that allowed you to chat to NPCs. Don't see that in Western shooters.

* Had a prolonged shootout here waiting for a door to open. Nothing exciting about the shootout, but I do appreciate the attention to detail with all of the smoke hanging around from the robots we destroyed. It got thicker and thicker as the fight raged.

* Took a trip on some jet skis. Plenty of robots firing on us and obstacles to avoid, but there wasn't any real danger.

* My victories are my team's victories. This fight took quite a bit, have to lock on to 4 different engines, each one takes 2 or 3 missiles to destroy. This gunship kept sending homing missiles our way and to shoot those down I had to drop the missile launcher. Very tedious and my teammates didn't help. At one point we all got hit by the same missile and laid on the ground for a minute. I thought my game had frozen.

For solo players? SWTOR. By now there's a years worth of content if you do all 8 class types 8 hours a day. I haven't played it since 2014 and it was long then. I beat 4 then waited a year then did 4 more. Launch then 2014 after giving up on ESO.

If you're into more fantasy stuff, I'd go EverQuest 2. Start level 1 in Faydwer. Or whatever you like. Just do the quests like it was day 1. The collection stuff, etc. No boosting. Just play solo unless you find others ding what you do. If you skip to the end it's a completely different game.

If you're into grouping go FF14.

If you're into hardcore raiding with 50+ people, go original EverQuest. You'll have to choose the guild wisely and most of them will be vets so you'll be doing a lot of catching up. But yeah it's as old school hardcore as you can get. Unless they changed it, you couldn't even solo light blues at high level years ago. Non-raid light blues lol. Certain classes only. If you ask me, they're nuts, but people still like it. The progression servers are nice too, but I'm not a sadist.

Are you sure that you know what you're talking about @Straughan ?

From what I understand about The Old Republic the game takes a serious nosedive once you go into the expansions. The core game is really good though, but you're probably better off just playing the free version that lets you go through the campaign. Even then, it's an EA game, it tries to nickel and dime you for almost everything, even after the monthly fee(this last part I actually can confirm).

Everquest 2, unless they made a huge change in the last 7 years, it's a godawfully dated game. The interface is a nightmare, and like with EA games, it will nickel and dime you for almost everything.

Everquest 1 is even more absurdly dated, why would you recommend it?

Oh, and I'm playing FF14 right now, most of the content can be played fine single player, and it's so insanely well populated that you'll have a super easy time finding a party as long as you're a healer or tank, and the game is made in a way so it's a LOT easier to do both roles as long as you pay attention. You'll be fine!

That free trial can last quite a while...

FF14 literally can last you months if you play it casually. All of those classes that you can level to level 70, and you get the first expansion without paying a dime. Hell yeah it counts! It counts more than just about any other free to play game out there in terms how much content you have access to!

The game got super super disgusting for the sake of shock value, and because it's such a rushed, phoned in experience, there is no shock, it's just annoying.

What a complete waste. This shit is more half assed than most of EA games I've played, and it's just a really medicore Genshin Impact clone.

And I mean that. This game is a really lazy clone.

The world revolves around the PS5 now?

I watched a video covering a world boss. It's more of an MMORPG than Genshin, with people running around in the same areas with you.

Yeah, sure enough, there's a ton of different servers, stuff.

This game definately wasn't given the budget of Genshin Impact, game looks a LOT cheaper, and looks a LOT more rushed. Voice directon outside of the first 10 minutes is kinda lacking, although it doesn't feel terrible, although some of the voice acting feels wiiiiierd! The small robot doll, just thank god she doesn't talk that much compared to everyone else so far.

Edit: I take it back, the voice acting is kinda annoying. I'll keep playing for the moment, but doubt I can take more than a couple hours of this game.

It's apparantly a Genshin Impact like MMORPG that just came out.

Anyone else checking it out right now?
