In the merged world. Got the first tablet and grabbed all the weapons I actually care about. Will still do the rest of the dungeons as I'll need the levels.

Completely forgot about the Song in the Temple of the Ancients, so that one is gone forever... And is one I may have actually used. So that's slightly annoying. Hero's Rime is great though, so I'll just spam that.k

Just beat the 4 crystals in World 2. Took a couple tries, until I remember Dragon Defense from the Chemist, at which point it was a cakewalk.

Time to break for dinner, but I'll keep playing a bit more tonight. I want to finish it this weekend.

I had Monk on one of my runs. Boy howdy does it suck late game. Damage output just isn't good enough.

Berserker with a Rune Axe was insanely good though.

Yeah, I'll have to back out and at least pick up some more weapons, but probably grind a little bit. I only have the one Main Gauche, and stabbing the guy for ~200 per turn is not quite cutting it.

This is a very bizarre team. Chemist is completely broken though, and Black Mage and Summoner will tear through the early game.

I'm actually in a major city for once (Edmonton, Alberta). I guess they got tired of sending me to literally the middle of nowhere all the time (small towns, all over Texas, Africa, etc)

But the apartment I'm in was fully furnished, and it seemed like a hassle to bring my desktop with me, so I just have my Surface Pro 4. That can play Left 4 Dead, I just need to get some peripherals for it, since it only has one USB port.

I always do a regular run, meaning at each Crystal get assigned a job from that crystal. You can only use jobs that you have unlocked, and you must use at least one of each job you have.

So for my first run

Wind Crystal - I unlocked Blue Mage. All 4 characters became blue mages.

Water Crystal - I unlocked Berserker. For the most part I had 3 blue mages and 1 berserker. Sometimes 2 berserkers.

Fire Crystal - I unlocked Bard. Team was now 2 blue mages, 1 berserker, 1 Bard. I think at this point I realized that Blue Mages are completely busted.

Earth Crystal - Dragoon. Team is now 1 of each class... And I think everyone had Blue Magic as their secondary ability.

I like Caius Ballad, simply for being the only redeemable quality in an otherwise completely irredeemable game.

Kefka has the advantage of actually winning though. Not something you see often in media.

Delita was a good choice though. He was a great villain, if not exactly a villain in the traditional video game sense

It's a bit of a slog to read through Lord of the Rings. The story is obviously great, but it takes soooo long for anything to happen.

I like Tom Bombadil but it was the correct choice to cut him from the movie. It doesn't further the plot in any meaningful way, and just adds another layer of potential confusion to the viewers

Usually not everyday. But I do plenty of running and spend more than my fair share of time in the gym.

Also, super long haul flights suck if you're in economy. Hell, they suck in business class.

Used to routinely have a 14 hour flight, and even in business class with a seat that let you lay down comfortably to sleep, the flight sucks. Nothing quite like waking up from a 7 hour sleep to find out you still have another 7 hours to go.

I did sleep for the entire flight once. Only woke up because the flight attendant was concerned about me and decided to check if I wanted breakfast, since I missed every other meal.
