In the old seasons, Kyle almost got killed by ManBearPig

Yet in the newer episodes, it seems Kyle and Cartman forgot all about it and don't even reference it at all.

I got into a discussion with someone recently who said that the movies cut so much important info from the books, that it ruins the franchise. And that I'm missing a lot of important info and character development

I have watched Harry Potter The Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets. I enjoy it so far, but am I really missing a HUGE amount by not reading the books?

Why is there such a negative stigma on men hanging around kids or children, while it's okay for women to do the same thing? A woman smiling or trying to talk to a random kid is normal, but the reverse is going to get some nasty looks unless it's a parent or school teacher
