Oh disgaea 1-4 is on the vita. Too bad we can't download the DLC from part 1 and 2 anymore. They turnned that feature off once the vita and ps3 got hacked.

Some people like how the original GBA feels in your hands better than the SP model. Personally I like both equally and have both. I don't like the micro much though.

Personal preference, I find the SP's fo factor a bit clamped, so that's why I went ahead with this mod.

I've seen these before when trying to mod my GBA screen, but I wasn't really interested. I tried instead to front-light it with LEDs, which didn't really work, but oh well. For me the joy of modding is in the experience and the potential to figure something out that maybe nobody has done before, even if it's very minor.

This is too ready-made for me, plus I feel like if you're willing to pay for one of these screens, at that point you might as well just get an actual GBA SP. Hope you're enjoying it though, whatever floats your boat.

Well, yeah i wouldn't say it's a tall task do do the mod. One reason why I wanted to do this was because I'm not a fan of the GBA SP's form factor and prefer the layout of the original.

I think the mod makes the handheld more useful as you don't need to use a front light

You need an AGS-101 screen (essentially it's an aftermarket GBA SP screen) and a special ribbon adapter.

It takes some time as you need to jerryrig the screen to fit the shell (not difficult), and solder one wire from the ribbon to the motherboard to power the screen

At first I thought it was a lot of.button mashing but there is a considerable amount of strategy to be thought out playing this game.

Also I noticed that it keeps tracks of the difficulty of each chapter so it makes it worth your while to go back and replay the campaign.

Fun game, good work Nintendo and Koei.
