Are they taking their children to a pride event specifically to see guys hip thrusting in thongs? Would you be appalled if parents took a child somewhere that a scantily clad woman also happened to attend?

I was at a pride event two weeks ago. Yes, there were some people in very little clothing, but there was also a large youth area and most people in general were modestly dressed.

Take WW2 for example. How do you talk about the Eastern Front and Neville Chamberlain and Rommel's tank deployments in Africa in way that is more LGBTQ inclusive?

You can't, so do you take that WW2 lesson and instead teach about how Leonardo Da Vinci may or may not have enjoyed playing hide the pickle with his lad friends while painting?

And yes I do think we should force LGBTQ+ awareness down people's throats until things change. Racism wasn't less normalized by being quiet and not being too annoying to white supremacists.

That they exist and it is wrong to be a jerk to them. Then they should be more included in history books as schooling progresses. They should also be included in sex ed when children reach the appropriate age.

A while back, I overheard some co-workers bitching about teaching those kinds of values in school, saying that it should be up to the parents. It took some restraint not to tell them to fuck off.

I feel like those kind of people honestly think LGBTQ+ people shouldn't be allowed to breed or adopt. They believe in "up to the parents" as much as they believe in "up to the states".

I used to think they forget LGBTQ+ parents exist when they do the "protect the children" nonsense, but I think they know perfectly well.

It's just an easy nice slander to use. They know they can get people on board, and that people will take the accusations seriously, if they use the pedophile accusation.

I've known of several occurrences of employees being relocated due to being in a relationship.
