I think it is because some people, for whatever reason, refuse to play games on handheld consoles, and 90% of JRPGs worth playing release on handheld now because they don't want to spend the budget developing for home console. They know their fan base cares more about the mechanics than the presentation, so why try to compete on the console market where your game will be written off if it doesn't have great presentation.

Yeah, that's a fair point. It's why I'm happy with my Vita and 3DS, and haven't bothered getting a next gen console yet. Though I might get Switch soon since I need my Disgaea 5 fix

In this case we know what the finished product should play like (the original version of FF7) and we've been given a trailer with far inferior gameplay. It's not unrealistic to think that it's wrong because it's an early demo

I get that you're just here to get a rise out of people, but man, you know you'd never be this loose in ascribing racist motives to, well, any other policy.

It is what it is in this case. The folks who are hard into open borders and allowing unbridled flows of illegals/refugees are basically the opposite of the white nationalists. Whereas the white nationalists think that western civilization is a uniquely white creation that can only be maintained by whites and is threatened by diversity, the anti-nationalist crowd believes the dominance of white culture in western civilization perpetuates white privilege and inherently results in oppression of minorities. Thus, anything that weakens the power of white people (and other traditional power groups) is a positive to them.

I'm white and I have no problem with whites being in control. I just also have no problem with non-whites being in control

Did a google - the original came out March 1998, Brood War expansion came out end of November 1998

Take it at your own pace. I only played a bit of it, but like a lot of Harvest Moon games, you can focus on any particular area you want. Farming, fishing, mining, whatever.

There might be an optimal way to do it to get the most money or whatever, but I prefer to just tell people to play these kinds of games their own way. Start with some crops and move up however you decide
