I can watch gameplay and deduce most of the time whether or not I'll like a game. I like certain genres and certain styles of games. For instance, I like fighting games but I don't need to play Fighting Herds to figure out if it's a game I'd enjoy or not.

I also like RPGs. But I've played enough bad RPGs to know when a game is not worth investing my time into, so if I can see a bunch of characters that annoy me or are uninteresting, or a really awful soundtrack, anything that irks me, I won't waste my time with it.

Personal taste is valid. You don't have to agree with a person's taste, but a game's aesthetics are enough for someone's personal taste to have validity. Assuming the person actually has a coherent perspective and they're not just nay-saying for the sake of nay-saying.

I get censored every time I weigh in on this subject. I could tell you why, but I'd just get sent back to purgatory again.

Getting hooked on Benzos is horrible. I've seen it really destroy lives. I don't wish that fate on anybody.

Well I think it should be they actually have to alert someone. Or someone finds their body. Like if you kill all the witnesses, you buy a ton of time since they have no leads in the investigation.

The more mainstream stuff, sure. But there's still a LOT you'll have a hard time finding, even on the Internet.

I used to be one of the "you can find anything online" people years ago, but over the last decade or so, I've kind of noticed that there's a lot of stuff you really can't find online. Even stuff you used to be able to find. Same with the whole "Anything you say online will be on the Internet forever" meme - as true as that might be in some cases, or for "famous" people, there's a LOT of things I remember being online from 95-05 or so that have more or less ceased to exist forever, with no means of recovery (even stuff like the Wayback Machine can't archive everything).

Which is a shame, because there's definitely some stuff lost that I would have tried to preserve if I'd known it would become so scarce. But you don't really know what you're going to lose until after it's gone, and at that point, it's too late.

You make a good point. I remember finding a lot of bootlegs of unreleased material for bands that were prevalent back in the day, and now since those bands have blown up you can't find ANY of those original demos.

It might have the most. It consists of all those little kids dancing around in grocery stores. I'm not a fan of those Battle Royale style games, but I find Fornite especially atrocious due to its aesthetics.

For the longest time, all I knew about the Persona series was that you fight by shooting yourself with a replica gun
It isn't a replica.

In high school I'd just play pickup games of basketball in the park with all the street kids that dropped out school or had too bad of grades to play for the school teams.

Making tapes were a big deal for a lot of years. We'd have a bunch of blanks and draw up sick labels for the stuff we were taping. You could do TV mix tapes like you would an audio cassette. I used to do a lot of mix tapes too. It's a lost art. There's something about making a playlist and it be EXACTLY what parts of the songs you like.

Sometimes a song has a long, boring instrumental. Or maybe it's not even boring, you just don't want so much of a single song taking up so much side on the tape. I'd even make little edits if there were particular parts of a song that could be potentially super offensive to passengers in my car. You could get really creative about where sometimes people wouldn't have a single clue that you played a couple seconds of a completely different song right in the middle of the one they were already listening to.

In-N-Out

This would be my favorite if they had them out here in the Pac NW. We got a place out here called Frugal Burger that's off the hook. Dick's is pretty good too. They've been starting to pop up in different spots all over WA state.
