Sort of a common rule i have now.

Two rules i live by
1: Dont be terminally online
2: Stay in school.

As compared to being a conspiracy nut and lowering the average IQ of people. I even had to go to "myactivity" on google just to turn off the log so i didnt see the dumb stuff from average youtubers. But as a rule i put away all distractions outside perhaps the informal discord chat with friends when it comes to school homework
(but i guess USA politics is revolutionary blue socks vs red socks, not the rational representative multiparty system, so thats another wall entirely.) But thats what it comes down to. Freedom to be an idiot.

Well i have holidays now (1 week in fall)

But when its not then from Monday to Friday 8 or 9 AM to 16:00/4PM then its work time.
And weekend is lazy days.

But i gotta wonder with all these dorks who makes this low IQ podcasts and such. Internet is not real life.

But i think i read a Reddit post summed up pretty well to people who complain how life is hard.

I only wear regular watches. Not really a fan of smart watches. I think they look bad and don't need the functionality since I have a phone.

I would assume smart watches are already more popular, though. Most people don't wear regular watches anymore, and I certainly see more smart ones out in the wild.

yeah i kinda agree with this. if you already have a decent smarthphone the smartwatch wont' do a whole lot more imo

I personally didn't have any opinion one way or the other regarding the elephant, but I totally sided with Betty as far as their feud went. Mostly I just remember as a huge game show fan that GSN's first and last annual game show awards was a huge train wreck from start to finish and Betty taking the high road by declining to attend because of Barker's threat that he wouldn't come if she'd be there elevated my opinion of her and soured my opinion of him.
And yeah, the Cecil the lion situation was just fucked up, no doubt about that.

I agree he was an awesome host and on-camera personality, but there's numerous stories about how much of a stuck-up jerk he was IRL. Like he literally called himself WGMC (World's Greatest Master of Ceremonies) and had that on a sign on his dressing room. One time Bob Eubanks hid the sign as a prank and Barker literally threw a fit and refused to tape until the sign was found. Contrast that with Drew Carey who was (at least for his first several seasons) a mediocre host at best but is humble to the point that he insists on being referred to as the "host" rather than the "star" and I've never heard anyone who had anything bad to say about him.

yeah seems like pretty much everybody is against lion hunts, like cecil's , but iirc they still allow those kinds of hunts in africa, though

that was an interesting article. Had not heard that story at all. Did you side with barker or white on the elephant? There was also a link to cecil the lion that was hunted by that dentist that both barker and white detested.....none of you are ok with what happened to cecil, right?

He was fine. Kinda similar to Pat Sajak, in that he often seemed overly snarky/insincere to randos, sometimes to the point of coming off as an asshole, but I suppose thats probably the result of hosting the same game show for so long.

major game show ratings must be down alot from many years ago. There's so many other entertainment choices now

Dick Van Dyke is 98 and the show was literally The Dick Van Dyke show. I watched reruns of it every week night actually. Mary Tyler Moore was young and gorgeous on it.

So the narrative is that we were supposed to be fooled into thinking that the T-800 was the bad guy again while the T-1000 was the hero. Was anyone actually taken in by this? Because I sure wasn't. The T-800's first scene shows him beating but not killing anyone, not even the bar owner who draws the shotgun on him. The way he snatches the sunglasses and puts them on is also framed as a cool moment, not a terrifying one.

Contrast this with the T-1000 whose every mannerism just screams evil, enhanced by the foreboding music as he approaches and stabs the police officer.

yeah i read this as well. It was supposed to be a secret, about arnold. But it was leaked everywhere. So they just started talking about this plot point before the movie released iirc
