My company issued me a cell phone. I asked for one as they make you install some security shit to use the mobile version of the work apps and I refused to allow any company to have that kind of control on my personal phone. This program would allow them to fully control my phone or wipe it but only if I asked them to. No thanks.

Anyway, I keep getting calls by random dudes who ask me for their friend that they never name. Theyll say something m oh hi, I was just calling my friend who has this number and I tell them they have the wrong number. Ive been getting random texts with home addresses, porn links, and marijuana videos.

So yeah pretty sure he was a drug dealer lol

Thankfully never had to do that with my husband. Sometimes I just cant get there and he doesnt pressure me. And the times where it may take longer than usual, hes very patient. Normally it isnt a problem and I get there easily enough but I have my off days and hes confident to know it has nothing to do with him. I had an ex who would give me shit if I didnt O fast enough and it just made it even more difficult to get there because I would worry too much. And yes Id fake it with him.

Thank you, I honestly really appreciate the encouragement. Youre right, I have been hard on myself. When I posted this, I think I was feeling overly sensitive. When you go on mom/parenting subreddits its always filled with women talking about how all their weight melted off by the 9 month mark (9 months in 9 months out kind of comments) and here I am at 9 months still carrying the baby weight and more.

And yeah sweets are my weakness. Of course Girl Scouts had to knock on our door over the weekend and of course I had to buy Lemonades but I at least can manage eating 2 a day and not more.

Oh and I dont drink anything sugary. Just water. But I dont follow any diet. I try to batch cook healthy foods on Sundays but Ill leave room for snacks like cookies or dark chocolate so I dont hate life. Last week I made chicken teriyaki that I would eat with veggies. The week before I made honey chipotle chicken salads. But maybe Ill eat fast food on some days and just make sure my calories for the rest of the day make up for it.

I do have an Apple Watch and I try to take breaks from my desk to go on a 30-40 min walk most days. But these days Im slammed at work and too tired to take baby on a stroll after. I do pretty much most of the household chores though. And chasing and lifting a baby.

I am not nearly as familiar with female diets, especially after giving birth, but I feel like 1200 calories is really low, maybe you could bump that up? You can offset additional calories by adding in some gym time/cardio also
As a woman at 52 my maintenance calories are around 1500 which makes dieting even harder. One extra snack can mess up my day and a cheat meal can ruin my whole week.

My wife had a baby around the same time as you, she just got back to pre baby weight... but she had the advantage of a baby sucking the calories out of her boob. if youve been doing formula from the start then thats a huge disadvantage - all the new baby stress but none of the free calorie drain

One thing that has helped me as a dad eat better: once we started baby-led weaning, i mostly eat what the baby eats. He eats clean af, so thats usually a protein and veggies, or starch and veggies, etc. I cheat plenty, but usually i can just remind myself that its crazy to make just a baby sized of broccoli.

I still havent figured when to exercise tho
Yeah no breastfeeding so no calorie loss. Baby is not a fan of solids though I keep trying to incorporate new foods. But that makes it hard too because I have to worry about her diet and mine. I do plan on having her try some of the foods I make myself. Tonight Im making turkey bolognese on spaghetti squash. I think shell hate it but eh just gotta keep trying

Im 52

Starting weight before Covid: 114lbs
4 months later and before baby: 121 lbs - eh everyone gained weight wfh
1 month after giving birth: 127 lbs - neat I didnt gain much during pregnancy
3 months after birth: 131 lbs - crap I should eat better and exercise, failed
8 months after birth (last December): 136 lbs - fml what did I do

My eating habits have been terrible since wfh and worse with a baby. I just dont have the energy and kept ordering takeout. In December when I weighed myself at the doctor and saw the number, it hit me hard and I really started to diet.

Ive lost 5 lbs in a month. Back to 131 which I was last July. I started to diet then but I tried keto and IF and it wasnt sustainable. Now Im on a 1200 calorie diet (wouldnt recommend unless youre a shorty like me)

My goal is 120 lbs but ideal would be 115 and it seems like such a long road ahead. Im always hungry and cranky. I work 9-10 hours a day then have a baby to take care of in the evening and I dont have the energy to cook most of the time so forget any of the fad diets. Definitely no time or energy to exercise. Maybe some walks here and there. So I just try and count calories.

I lost 5 lbs but I just undid the damage to myself after I first made a point of losing weight back in July. So I dont feel like Ive made real progress. Mad at myself for gaining so much after baby.

Pretty normal for pregnant women to feel insecure at some point. Hormones alone make you crazy but add a changing body, fatigue, lack of sleep, nausea, anxiety over the health of the baby, body aches, being bombarded by perfect looking women in the media and ig, etc. Wanting reassurance doesnt mean its some childish games. I was pretty confident throughout most of my pregnancy but I definitely had times where I felt awful about myself and it was hard to really believe my husband still found me attractive. I think some of it is some primal shit too where you worry your mate is going to abandon you and the baby for another younger hotter woman lol

Its ok. Most parents have that moment where baby falls off the bed/couch/etc. My baby rolled off the couch and on her face at 5 months. I had to fire our first nanny (she was kind of bat shit) and had to work while watching her. She just started learning to roll. She was on the couch with me when I got a slack and looked at it for a second when I heard a thump followed by screaming. Thankfully there was carpet and it was a low couch. She had a good scrape on her nose.

Now shes 9 months and standing on things, cruising, etc. Tumbles on her head almost daily lol

Ive set up a playpen gate with a huge foam mat so thats been a huge help.

I dont think anyone can really prepare you for how hard it will be until you live it. I had all these cute lounger type things for a baby that everyone swears by. Snuggle me, rockaroo, baby swing... she hated all of them. She wanted to be held AND be in motion so I had to walk her around the house at all times she was awake. Sometimes Id plop her in a stroller and walk around the house to keep her happy. I could never set her down anywhere where she could just chill. Getting her to sleep was 15-20 minutes of bouncing her on a yoga ball. My back has suffered so much Im scheduling physical therapy.

It does get better in some ways but whenever one thing gets better, they learn something new and then that gets hard again. Rolling, crawling, standing, cruising, teething, etc

Do you have a standing activity toy? Its like a little table you can put them in with toys all around. My daughter loves it. I know someone else who used it with their babies and they called it the baby neglector because their baby also loved it and it frees up some time for you. At six months she was crawling and just generally going after things. Shes got a few plush toys she likes to hug. I have song books she likes too.

And take him on walks too. If the weather allows it in your area.

It can be depending on the context. Obviously not every public proposal is but some abusive men will try and trap women into accepting this way. Often they just started dating for a few months or are doing it to win them back after they did something awful. But if a woman is saying no chances are its not a surprise to the person doing the proposal. People dont do surprise random proposals in healthy relationships. Its discussed thoroughly before it gets to that point.

Some people are just cheating assholes that get off on the thrill. No one will ever be enough for them. Nothing wrong with staying with family while you get back on your feet either. Its a blessing to have the option. Many cant leave abusive relationships because they lack a safety net whatsoever. Im glad theyre there for you and hope you make it through things.
