It could be a joke/troll topic but it's not at all far-fetched that somebody who posts on GameFAQs would actually think like this

I can see being open to dating somebody with kids as you get older and your dating pool therefore has a higher chance of having kids, but we're talking 30's. If the TC is that old it just makes it extra pathetic that this is a crush from way back in high school.

I have several questions:

- How long have you known her?
- Have you seriously been waiting this whole time for her to become available?
- Do you really want to date somebody who has a kid?
- Do you really think there isn't anybody else out there?

And that's not getting into how tacky the whole situation is. There are other girls out there for you. And if you don't believe that to be true, then you shouldn't be trying to date anybody, including her, until you fix whatever is wrong with yourself that makes you undatable.

I thought this guy was just making an ICOYAR joke. That would be better than him buying fancy socks TBH because it's a very weird disconnect to put so much effort into something people barely see but almost zero effort into making your face look decent

No. His behavior on PotD ranges from "annoying in a mildly amusing way" to "what the fuck is this dude's problem". I can tolerate him but he isn't somebody I'd go out of my way to talk to, let alone hang out with.

I don't have any real good ones to post cause I almost never take photos of myself in general, but I'd say I don't really look that much different. Well, I mean my face doesn't look that much different. Ten years ago I was probably 30 or more pounds lighter so my body definitely looks different but that's not really a "he looks older" thing

I was thinking yes but then I realized how fucking weird this whole concept would be. I'm assuming all of these would be one-on-one, but I can't picture myself meeting one-on-one with almost anybody from PotD. I feel like most PotDer meetups I've heard about have either involved more than two PotDers, or somebody had a non-PotD person with them

Topic should be "Would you invite this person to a PotD meetup" or something instead

Already said I don't really care what people listen to, but when you go and make topics like this it makes you look pretty ridiculous. Muscles makes topics like these fairly often but he's woefully uninformed about everything. I don't think he realizes that music exists outside of the radio.

Wouldn't changing an email address still be a problem in terms of your contacts having the wrong email, accounts tied to it not working, etc.? If anything it would be even more of a problem than making a new one since you wouldn't have the old name around to set up for auto-forwarding

I have no idea who either of those bands are. Are they what teens listen to now? I was talking about what teenagers listened to when I was one - Korn was definitely among those bands that were popular at that time that I find wholly unlistenable now.

I never said I liked Drake. And frankly I don't really care if people like Korn. But I mean, come on, they are edgy teenager music. I don't want to see somebody who puts them in their top ten bands try to talk like they have reputable taste in music

What's your point here? Nobody on PotD watches those shows or thinks they're good. I don't know why you'd bring it up, it's just cliche to make fun of that stuff. You have to be really insecure to make a point of highlighting how you don't watch widely panned TV

I don't think most of us are "against" emulators per se. I try to play official releases of games within reason but tons of games now are rare/expensive and don't have very many (or any) good re-release options. For me it's mainly that I don't find playing those games on a PC appealing. I get that I can hook it up to my console TV or find suitable controllers, but it's a lot easier to just plug in a console and controller that are ready to go. It's also nice having the original controllers and being able to easily move it to another room.

Hacking the (S)NES Classic isn't really the same thing since you still had to buy it. At least you're kicking back a little bit to the developers and hopefully your interest is supporting their desire to continue investing into official re-releases of retro games. And since, again, it wasn't really a legal/moral issue for me, I don't view it as hypocritical.
