Good game, but there are much better ones, such as Cut the Rope, Tiny Wings, and Fruit Ninja. My problem with Angry Birds is that it's much less about skill, and more about trial-and-error; then again, there's a TON of content, so for the price it's an absolute steal.

I disagree with the "grr, xenoblade would sell because x" notion coming from people who don't know a damn thing about anything, but I still would like to see this game in the US and think it sucks that NoA isn't giving it even a remote chance.
I think it's fair to say that people know a damn thing about something. And hey, if you look at sales data for similar jRPGs, you can even make an- informed opinion about the issue! None of us are sales analysts, but that doesn't mean we can't hold reasonably well-supported opinions on the issue.

That's what he's getting at, yeah. I'm sure there's a lot of that going on too, but I refuse to believe that every single brony fits that mold. Plenty are just pleasantly surprised at the high quality!

For those who "don't get it": as a member of the herd... I'm right there with you. Just why the **** is this show so popular among the older, male demographic, and why have people been so willing to openly express their approval of the show? My theory is as follows: while the characters are endearing, the animation excellent, etc. etc., these positive traits wouldn't be enough to garner the type of fanbase the show has today. I believe that its popularity stems from the huge gap between *expected* quality and *actual* quality; in other words, the show is just so much damn better than anyone would expect going in that it really grows on you.
...or maybe I'm just trying to validate my bizarre preferences. <_<

I don't think you need to be worried about "offending" people. Inthe previous topic, I made a legitimate vote, but was perfectly understanding when someone questioned my status as an alternate account. These sorts of things happen and questions get asked, no worries.

I love how Muyo's posts are the longest while also saying the least. I'm not sure this simple, simple issue- cult game garners mass online support and preorders, and does so on a console where much less notable games have sold plenty- is worth that much face-saving.
Nintendo has nothing to lose by releasing it, and tons to lose by telling the hard work of the fans to **** off. Keep screaming "trust Nintendo!" all you want, but there's no reason to suppose that this is anything other than a horrible business/image decision. And do you REALLY think gamers in the States would care about accents? lol
Chris Hansen, a TV personality infamous for busting men doing questionable sexual acts via hidden cameras, was himself busted doing questionable sexual acts via hidden cameras. Irony!
Was going to come in here and lament Pinkie's crushing defeat... but it looks like the best pony has a real chance! In case that wasn't clear, Pinkie Pie.
Really, this story is tragic, not humorous. The tragedy is in the fact that Hansen's behavior here may undo the legitimacy of To Catch a Predator, a show we desperately need and that humanity only benefits from in catching underage predators, who are infinitely worse kinds of scum than the kind of scum Hansen is for committing adultery with a consenting adult.
Oh, for ****'s sake. No one's talking about karma or comparing Hansen to sexual predators. Lighten up.
Since you guys seem to be pretty familiar with fighting games, can anyone explain the MvC3 backlash to me? I understand that the content in the game is pretty bare-bones, but is the competitive part of the gameplay not up to snuff either?
And yeah, I'm basically thrilled for SFxT, though as a casual gamer. Fingers crossed that the Tag Tournament title theme is included!
That's enough to motivate a watch-through, I'd say! Hopefully having the final scene spoiled for me won't ruin the experience, but even if it does... that scene was worth it. Song is fantastic too
Never touched this show before (was actually redirected here from a... Pony link), but I didn't realize something like this actually existed. This is why overusing the word "epic" is a problem, because it undermines its impact when it *deserves* to be used.
Currently on a Pony binge, but is this show worth watching? The only other animes I've enjoyed are DBZ and Death Note (so clearly I'm a connoisseur of quality animation).
-Is there a consensus about which pony is the best? Because, after five episodes, for me it's all about the Pinkie Pie. -Are there any stellar eps coming up soon?
