I have family that was adopted from China, and have friends that were adopted from Russian orphanages to avoid forced enlistment when they turn 18. I, and many other people (likely in this thread) know full well how horrible those places can be.

Once again, where she came from does not matter. If she had 3 meals a day, clean clothes, a room to herself, and good education for her whole life here, that wouldn't invalidate being unhappy.

It literally doesn't matter. There is no possible background someone could have that invalidates being discontent with their present situation. If she lived a typical middle class American Christian life, there is nothing wrong with hating it.

Wtf is your problem? Just because there are worse places doesn't mean you should put up with whatever situation you're in. Adopting a child doesn't make them your slave, forever indebted to live however you want. Get the fuck out of here with that attitude.
