The refs here are awful. They're calling dumb things on BOTH teams. Isn't as much bias (a la them trying to give the game to Villanova) as it is ineptitude. Four guys fouling out is a ref problem.

It seems like you think established artists should be the priority here. What I am insinuating here is that it's something one could find on YouTube, whether one wants to or not (Me? I don't.). It's impossible to find a concert recording of something performed live once by someone in 1994, for example, and therefore it's too obscure to be nominated, even if that's an established artist.

I mean, I could nominate a classic like "Pokemon Kid" but even that's so unintelligible you can't even tell it's a cover.

Then there's things like American Idol that offer limitless nominations for this. Anything by William Hung, however, can be seen as "so bad it's good" but also as truly awful.

It's probably best to define a "cover" here as something recorded by an artist on a record contract, either for a studio album, a live album, or a single (including YouTube releases). I would think that's the best for the purposes of this contest. Do you agree?

What is a "cover" for the purposes of this contest?

1. Does it only include studio songs done by recording artists?
2. Or does it also include live versions (or just ones released on albums)?
3. Or does it also count YouTube covers by amateurs?
4. Or does it also count parodies written by Weird Al wannabes that think they're funny when they're not?

This will greatly affect what I nominate, thanks.

The one time I agree with Sandra.

Compassion. Most of the meat we eat at home is domesticated animals that have no parental stakes. While the goat would've been tasty, they would have felt guilty about killing both the mother and the baby... and they'd have gotten s*** from PETA and other vegetarian terrorist groups like a certain castaway that killed a pig in Australia did.

Aubry has said she's reducing her meat intake but she isn't going full vegetarian. That's the only thing I know for sure. Well, that and Tai is mostly vegan. Why he'd want to damage his health like that is beyond me.

Well, I'm having mixed feelings. I'm glad Caleb went, but...him going makes it 3 out of the 7 that were on stage promoting the season at the Season 33 finale having gone home in a row. So, I'm kind of worried that means the next 2 to go next episode are 2 of Sandra/Tai/Ozzy/Cirie.

Well, Ozzy I wouldn't mind, but have someone OTHER than one of those 4 go for the second person gone so I can stop worrying that CBS was stupid and outright spoiled the pre-jurors on live TV months before the season even started.

Sly move by Culpepper. Taking inspiration from how Aubry spoke to Tai in Kaoh Rong. Getting Tai to turn on Caleb was rather amazing. That said, it should've been Hali. Best for Tai, Sierra, and Debbie. Tai gets to keep his loyal wingman. Debbie can then NOT be the first target from the Kaoh Rong group. And Sierra can get rid of the only other person from her season whom she has no relationship with, therefore being unable to be paired as such.

Hali's closing argument was atrocious. And she always has this deer-in-the-headlights look plastered over her face. How is she a lawyer?

JT's idol stunt was fantastic. Paranoia that he has it will spare him. The goat scene also served to show how ruthless Sandra is, even though she quickly caved when she realized she was the only one who wanted goat meat. I couldn't have done that. Was so sweet to see the two goats reconnect, though let's hope the baby doesn't have PTSD. I think that wouldn't be too big a problem considering they didn't kill the mama goat. "GoatGate" is a moral quandary that we don't see much these days, but I am glad they made the right move. They had chickens to eat.

Loving the twist next week. Been wanting this for a while. LOVE a good pre-merge deuce, and with three tribes? Yes please!

When I first came to the board, I saw nothing bad from JP. I didn't arrive until after he'd made quite a name for himself, but I thought he was trying to fit in after past troubles and he wasn't being allowed. I felt bad for him. And I ended up at that board with him.

Literally the second easiest map in the entire game. Pick a Shock, any Shock, move them from center spawn to the left right by the corner of a building. Demo Boost the shock. Shoot radiator on Turn 2. A rank.

Rosie had the gun from the shocktrooper ace in the forest. Was able to "gun the engine" quite easily.

I got an A on the Batornys map SOMEHOW. The guide I was following, the person writing it got a C. #wow

Also I switch between Nadine and Dallas for my engineer. Nadine's the only one without a problem personality. Dallas is a man-hating lesbian and that type disgusts me.

I think if you do that, you need to do things that are going to have extensive interest, not just the interest of a few users. You'd also have to keep it to a few core roles (no more than 8), rather than an entire cast list. That takes too long. You also should encourage people that if they only have two actors to only vote on those two.

GNT is a private board so there aren't as many people there. Keep that in mind, too.

The army base feel of Palau's was great, yes. Also they used an actual Mayan ruin in Guatemala, which was pretty cool too. As is the treehouse in Heroes vs. Villains.

Game Changers is the best Tribal set in years. It feels like all these pre-HD seasons we're talking about in terms of how well-built it was. I wish every season still was like that. No more of the bland sets we got all the time from 21 to 30, though IIRC Blood vs. Water's was pretty neat.

This Tribal Council set is one of the top 5 of all time, definitely. I don't even remember last season's like I do the two in Cambodia, but wasn't it in the same place?

Other great Tribal Council sets include the pagodas in Thailand and China, the pirate fortress in Pearl Islands, the shipwreck in Cook Islands, and the nostalgic Australian Outback set at the top of the freakin' waterfall. This season's lighthouse is pretty damn awesome, to be honest, and fits with the season's nautical theme.

I saw the idol and my first thought was "Captain Cutler from the first season of Scooby-Doo." That was a big part of my childhood, after all.

Yeah, the edit had me pegging Sandra going home even though Tony seemed resigned to his fate. Sandra's won twice by ensuring the target was someone else every single vote. You don't "later" somebody with her playstyle. That's exactly what she wants! I thought the likes of Aubry, Malcolm, and Varner would have picked up on that when a dumbass (Caleb) knew that Sandra needed to go!

Needless to say, if Sandra survives her first Tribal Council on her new tribe, there's not going to be any doubt left as to how great of a player she is.

That was fantastic.

Ciera outdid herself yet again. She talks way too much and now she knows how Vytas felt.

Sandra vs. Tony... WHY DID IT HAVE TO END? That was such fantastic TV, leading up to what blindsided ME. I was thinking they were voting Sandra out, as much as Tony seemed resigned, but... that exit exchange was absolutely priceless.

Also, why did Tony ask Sandra to call Troy out when TROY WAS RIGHT THERE? Very poor play there. Tony's expectation of Sandra to be erratic is what cost him the game.

Much better season start than I thought. Though we got another Legacy Advantage that... can be used at 13 or 6? Is 13 the merge or the last pre-merge round where there'll be 7 or 6 people left in a tribe? (They need to stop the merge at 13, that clearly doesn't work.)

Happy with the top two for this one. Yeah, I ranked Sandra in 6th, but there were others I legit like more - Aubry, Cirie, Andrea, Tony, and Varner. And like I said, I only put her low only because my worries for her make it harder for me to root for her. I still am of course.

I like - but don't love - this cast. Aubry's my favorite and the only person gunning for her first is Debbie (something Aubry has picked up on, it seems), but I can get behind half this cast winning.

Not Ozzy though. Barf.

The people I think can win this game are Malcolm, Sierra Dawn, Andrea, Aubry, Sarah, and Varner. With this cast, anything is possible - but this mixes the tools each person has versus how many people see certain others as threats. Tony, Sandra, Cirie, Ciera... they're all in big trouble and probably only one of them is going to make the merge. Whichever one has an outside shot, but it's still very unlikely.

Why is RHAP filled with Ozzy winner picks? Those make zero sense to me.

But hey, I got the #1 right... er... that's not how this works, right? XD

I'd love to apply for Survivor, but...
1) Kaoh Rong's MedEvacs were painful to watch
2) I don't think my mind could take the starvation and sleep deprivation

I just don't think I am cut out to actually survive the elements. The game itself I would LOVE to play, to actually experience that, but... knowing myself, it just wouldn't work out for me. I just think I'd go all Shane Powers on people - and not because of cigarettes. And I hate myself for it.

All of them should come back for the final season, which will feature the best of the best. Until then, three times is enough for anybody. I don't like fourth-timers, either.

Surprised that Cirie isn't top two, but I did have her in third. Thinking about it since, I probably should've put her in second. She is just that much of an entertaining narrator and she's a fantastic player to boot. She's one of the very few I don't mind seeing back for a fourth time. But that means she doesn't come back for a Survivor: Legends... or does she?

I am hoping Michaela comes back with everything she gave us the first time, though with toning down the physical intensity so she doesn't get a similar placement. That said, she was easily fingered by Varner at pre-game Ponderosa (he can tell she's competitive and hates to lose - and gets confrontational with anyone who would make her lose), so I don't know if she has it in her to do that. She's too competitive by nature. And that's what makes her great TV. Hoping she can BRING IT!

This is actually going to cause fewer rock draws and disadvantage the minority even further at even numbers. Nobody's going to be willing to force a tie now. If this rule had been in effect last season, I guarantee Will would've flipped to vote out Zeke and we'd have gotten an unexciting boot instead.

Thus, I hate it, and it will cause the exact opposite effect of their intent.
