Bought it in Early Access, played through to the end a couple times but always got turned off by the huge spike in difficulty at the final dungeon and stopped, before coming backs few years later.

I do wonder at what point the population of WoW dies off though. It's presumably all the same people who have been addicted since WotLK, the community hasn't really been growing. I guess it's probably not that expensive to support a 15 year old game, but at some point you think it would become unreasonable.

That's kind of my point. By most metrics The Flash and The Marvels are both "good enough" films that would have probably done well 2 years ago, but there's no longer a halo effect for superhero films.

There's not enough great product to lift the rest up out of mediocrity, and instead were seeing the opposite where the bad pulls down the "okay".

Captain America 4 has been delayed to 2025 and is allegedly being completely reshot. Gonna go through another rebuilding phase at the MCU.

Marvel will have to be very careful for a bit to build up a positive rep again. You can't just keep throwing out mediocre product and hoping that's enough to build an audience, we've seen how that affected the Flash and the Marvels.

That scene actually fucking sucked and it's wild to me that people bought into it.

Sometimes, if I'm on trips, because I hate travelling generally.

But my preference is always to be at home.

I like In the Frame, Darren Mooney gives very good takes on movies.

He has some solid videos, though some of his videos are weird? I don't know how else to describe it, like he'll make a review that's more explaining his personal relationship to the film and less about the film itself.

I'll agree. I've supported the Liberals in every election since 2015 but they really haven't done much good. The Conservatives are objectively worse though, especially now that we have Diet Ben Shapiro as their party leader.

I'm still in shock from that CSIS whistleblowing incident where Trudeau refused to investigate election interference because he knows his party benefitted from it, and nobody did anything. Just shameless corruption.

It's hard to believe but it's what presales numbers look like.

It's not just mediocre Marvel films hurting the brand; when DC releases shit film after shit film it also hurts the superhero genre. So this could wind up being a bigger bomb than the Flash if word of mouth isn't amazing.

"superheroes switching places when they use their powers" is a genuinely fun idea and I'm glad they included it. But on the other hand

- it doesn't really fit with the tone of the previous Captain Marvel film which was (relatively speaking) a grimmer sci Fi story
- it features two total randoms from two mediocre-to-bad Disney Plus shows
- the main plot of Captain Marvel 1 was already continued in Secret Invasion, and it was handled horrendously

Moviebob was one of their big draws back in the day. He left the company, but kept doing the same thing with different assets. Then they rehired him, and he kept doing the same thing. It wasn't too bad of a transition.

So here's hoping Yahtzee keeps doing the same thing in a different skin. Possibly the only reviewer whose reviewing still matters to me.

Moviebob content has been in an increasingly rough spot since he left though. He was an individual who actively tried to court controversy and it's clear the website didn't need him as much as he needed them.

Yahtzee is a completely different beast though, he is the mascot of the Escapist. He made them. This is like Nintendo firing Mario.
