This is just telling actors you should never be more than your gender, your sexuality, your race, your religion, your political beliefs, your physical ability, your weight, your nationality etc

Modern day acting is just playing characters exactly like your real life self. In one episode of The Simpsons a few weeks ago, a woman with one breast played a woman with one breast. If a woman with two breasts voiced that character, you know there would have been outrage.

No offensive problematic words in the title this time.

Many returning Forza players were surprised when Forza Horizon 5 greeted them by name. The game pulls it from your Microsoft account so that it can properly say 'Hello'. However, for some trans players, this feature has led to the game deadnaming them - a painful experience.

"It sucked and it was jarring," Melody told me over Twitter. "You have a few mandatory bits to play before you can actually change it. I am not too familiar with the menus, but a lot of the customization is separated from the menu options, so I wasted a lot of time digging when it was elsewhere."

For new players, the game asks you for a name and nickname, but returning players don't get this chance.

"I was pretty shocked," one player, who asked to remain anonymous, told me. "I enjoyed the intro sequence and was having a lot of fun, but hearing the announcer call out my deadname completely blindsided me. I quit the game immediately and was close to just refunding it on Steam.

"I really wanted to play with my friends, so I cooled down a bit and spent an hour trying to figure out how to reset my save to remove any chance of it deadnaming me again. I just wanted to reset my save so my deadname wasn't on it. I changed my name in my Microsoft account to something it couldn't voice and tried playing the game again as normal after resetting my save."

Doing this led to the bug appearing. Now, the game calls them by the name of the last NPC they spoke to. "The game didn't handle it gracefully, I guess. Doesn't seem to affect gameplay at all, so I'm fine with it."

Forza Horizon 5 has implemented some great accessibility settings, and also included the option for players to be able to pick their pronouns, body type, and voice - its character creation system is what Cyberpunk 2077's promised to be. It's disappointing then that the potential for deadnaming was not considered when the greeting feature was implemented.

For the player who ended up restarting their game, it just takes the shine off it. "I'm really disappointed that they messed up something so basic but crucial to many people's enjoyment of the game."

Damn that was a lot of writing for an article making a big deal out of having to make a name in Forza Horizon 5 thats already very friendly toward everyone already.

When I started a new game for the first time I was able to select the name I want to be called from the get go.

Returning players don't have that option.

A few weeks old now but this is the first I've heard of her.

On The Simpsons Sunday, we met a character named Dr. Wendy Sage, a hypnotherapist and breast cancer survivor who has had a unilateral mastectomy, and is also showing a visible scar from a port-o-cath, a device used to deliver chemotherapy.
The character is voiced and was created by Renee Ridgeley, an actress, writer, breast cancer survivor and the wife of Simpons showurnner, Matt Selman. Ridgeley discussed the character with Yahoo Life saying, Sage shows up as exactly who she is now. By living openly as a one-breasted woman, she sends a message of acceptance and wholeness celebrated by individuals in marginalized groups.
Viewers on social media enjoyed seeing this representation on the show, and gave thanks via Twitter. With one person saying, This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month done well.

One thing I could never look past with this show is how Conan fools others into thinking that a person he knocked out is talking by hiding behind them and using a device to mimic their voice. How do the other people not notice that this person is knocked out when their eyes are closed and their mouth isn't even moving?

The in-universe explanation is that theyre sleeping leading to Kogoros nickname and reputation as the Sleeping Kogoro. In one episode I seem to remember Kogoro being encouraged to sleep when Conan wasnt around so that the case would be solved, which obviously he cant.

Yes, the sheer number of chapters is hurting its cohesiveness as an ongoing story. I watch the show on crunchyroll every week. I enjoy it but some characters disappear for ages such as chief of police Kuroda and substitute teacher Rumi. Im very interested in seeing more stories about those two.

And if you think about the continuity of the timeline, Conan very rarely goes to school and must be solving at least two cases a day. Its one of those shows where the characters arent allowed to age despite having an ongoing storyline. And having been around since the 90s, you can see modern technology being shown where early stories did not have it.

Oh I do like it but I acknowledge its very easy to nitpick if you were inclined to do so.
