I started playing classical music wayyyy later than almost everyone does and have always felt some sense of being behind/imposter syndrome, so to hear that from not just my teacher but the other bass faculty as well (there are 4 in total) is pretty weird still feel like im playing catch up so back to the practice room until i win a job i suppose thats all for this bragging topic --- |

We aren't sitting on anything, people just need to realize we're still vaccinating 3 million people per day in the US and have made promises to many different countries.I agree that the US is doing a great job of vaccinating. But I think these first world nations need to take a more active interest in assisting other countries. Not by just donating vaccines - the problem is that so many other countries dont have the infrastructure to produce and distribute vaccines effectively themselves. This is a time where in an ideal world the US, China, EU, etc would ignore profit for a second and assist in this issue. I dont buy that these superpowers cant both vaccinate themselves domestically and also work on assisting other countries in a more thorough way. And if they continue to not do so - even ignoring the humanitarian reasons they should - theyre begging for more and more mutations until the vaccines theyve done so well with distributing are useless. --- |
