You can hotkey actions. Like I said, you just don't know what you're talking about. The game has issues but clunky combat really isn't one of them.

Felt super clunky to me. If it wasn't going to be turn based, I would have preferred full action to that hybrid.

After playing the demo I chose not to buy.

Its probably one of the best combat systems modern Square has come up with. On hard mode, its superb and theres plenty of depth. One of the only issues is air combat.

Its a 30 minute surgery. Women are usually home a few hours after the surgery ends. Its just numbing medicine, one or two incisions, gas pumped into the abdomen for a better view, a tube with a light inserted, then long thin instruments to cut the Fallopian tubes, and finally stitches.

I guess MODOK counts during of his boss phases. Three villains is still laughable. Even Arkham Asylum had around 7 villains or so show up and that game came out years ago. Ultimate Alliance 3 had a great roster of villains, too.

Part of the appeal of these super games is seeing all these iconic villains show up and battle the heroes. Stripping that from the base game and making it a live service takes away from the superhero experience.

I dunno why anyone would believe the games run natively, they look identical to the originals + a texture pack and wide-screen hack

It's not something as simple as just how it looks. Emulation brings along the possibility of input lag as well or how the game performs. We would get better battery life as well if it ran natively on the Switch.

Let me defend him here by saying that maybe what he means is that mens' role in propagating that shit is usually centered upon and put at the focus, whereas womens' role is quietly ignored, generally speaking. We live in an era now where women can do no wrong, it seems like.

Zelda games have some great stuff.
The House in Fata Morgana is excellent.
Pokemon games are always good.
Shin Megami Tensei IV is amazing.
Fire Emblem is nice on the ears, too. Shame on Sakurai for not including some of the only worthwhile parts of Fates in Smash which was the music.

The other thing too is that so many of their fans want and expect some announcement that's tailored to them.

Nobody cries at Sony for letting Ape Escape or Jak and Daxter die. Yet people still whine about F-Zero. Funny thing is whenever they do bring out an old game like Star Fox it comes out, nobody cares and then the fans want some other old franchise.

The F-Zero fanbase doesn't whine about the lack of a new F-Zero. Nearly of them have pretty much accepted that the fact that a new game in the franchise will never happen. It's been 17 years since GX. Every sane individual has let go already. As for Star Fox, people were very excited about the announcement of Star Fox Zero during the Wii U era but the game turned out to be worse than mediocrity.

Nobody cries about Jak and Daxter not getting any new games due to the series concluded in a satisfactory manner.

Apparently. The most memorable parts of FF7R's combat was when I faced a random robot enemy, and Cloud got stunlocked by a constant stream of missiles. Every attempt to block was halted, every attempt to dodge was halted, and when switching to Aerith, it immediately stunlocked her. That's not good design at all. The only hope is it would eventually stop.

Then later when you play Cloud solo and there are a bunch of flying enemies, which he is just terrible at dealing with. The only method is really spells, but again, constant interruptions, MP management is pretty limited, and of course when an action is interrupted, it wastes the ATB, so you have to swing wildly to gain it back, but the dodgy bastards don't let you.

If characters didn't get interrupted so easily, if enemies had more diverse methods of interrupting them, and if blocking and dodging required a bit less total commitment and didn't feel clunky, the game would feel way better for me. Also an actual aggro system would be good instead of auto-targeting the controlled character.

Just my opinion of course. I'm sure if I looked over some pro strats I'd like it a bit more, but I'm not going to replay a game I wasn't a huge fan of to reassess an opinion when I have so many other games to play.

It really sounds like you did not know how to play the game at all. It's a great battle system. The game gives you more than enough tools to easily win every battle. Tifa is broken, too. The difficulty lies in Hard Mode but that's mainly due to no items and MP only replenishing at the start of a new chapter. Even with those restrictions, the game is balanced so well that the player shouldn't struggle much as long as they understand the combat system.
