But the Democrats are gonna be winning in 2020 guys!

What a joke of a party. These are the politicians who want to lead our country and manage its finances and our tax revenue? They can't even manage their own fortunes after they pumped so much money into a failed election around Hillary. All of the Democrats here need to be ashamed and humbled by how hard their party has fucked up.

It doesn't even begin to discredit the FBI investigation. It poorly attempts to paint one specific warrant as illegally obtained with no supporting evidence, while ignoring literally every other aspect of the investigations.
This memo is a literal nothingburger.

I just love how users who defend cops for literally framing people suddenly are concerned about the process behind acquiring this specific warrant.

And an entirely one-sided view of it doesn't even do enough to present the case that it was illegitimately acquired.

Anteaterking

There are too many terrible lines of argument in this topic to address all of them, but here are a few responses:

1. Steele was not paid to report to the FBI and it certainly isn't stated that he was so in this memo. Occasionally being an FBI contact doesn't make anything you research automatically reported to the FBI, and in fact the GPS transcript goes into great detail describing the work situation in this instance.

2. There's no indication that Steele's bias has anything to do with Trump's political positions, support for a particular party, etc. He previously described Trump as being extremely susceptible to blackmail, which is a great reason to not want someone to be president.

3. Being part of a presidential campaign does not make you immune to FISA warrants. There appears to be more than enough evidence to have a FISA warrant against Page that is unrelated to his working on the Trump campaign. Characterizing this as "spying on Trump" or "spying on his campaign" is disingenuous.

4. There's no indication that the FBI even now believes that the dossier is false. In addition, the nature of human intelligence gathering by CIA/MI6/etc. is that much of this is recounting of what specific sources said, not an endorsement of any particular piece of intelligence. This is taken into account when evaluating human intelligence.

5. Republicans and Democrats both paid for the dossier and it doesn't matter who paid for it if the person who is collecting the intelligence doesn't know who the client is (as also outlined in the GPS transcript).

This and the earlier tweet re: warrants for immigrants are both spot on. There are vague assertions by the memo that the evidence is bad for the FBI because...it was too easy for them to get a FISA warrant? That doesn't seem like a hill that the "law and order" Republicans really want to die on.

The answer is very simple, but if you keep that outrage mindset, you won't be able to understand.

How is this a response to what I said?

The author is not describing bad-tempered as being people paralyzed by referring to two genders and your characterization of the difference between Republican rage and Democratic rage is a completely skewed worldview.

I've sometimes let people "beat me" in an argument because repeating why they're wrong for the fourth or fifth time isn't worth it, especially because they'll put you in that position again without actually countering your points.

No one is ever going to have a sensible argument about this because unless Bitcoin literally crashes to 0, someone's always going to be able to point to a time when it tanked but recovered, and until it hits 19k again, you'll always be able to point and say that even if it recovers it will never hit its peak again.

Although, someone with more knowledge than me, if the price just stayed exactly at $10k for a few months, would that lead to it crashing?

Keenum is a better qb then say cam newton matt Stanford or Aaron Rodgers, because of QBR?

Well Aaron Rodgers only played a handful of games this year and he was trash in at least two of them, so on basically any stat for this season Keenum is going to be better than him.

Cam Newton's strengths aren't really represented in QBR, because his strengths come from his running ability. Remember that his throwing for a decent chunk of the season was junky because of his surgery as well.

And Matt "Stanford" again has inflated stats because of his need to play through all four quarters for most games.

Like...I think you're focusing too much on who you think is a better Quarterback in general, not on who was a better Quarterback in the 2017 season. Case's "career QBR" is lower than those three.

Usually the better of a quarterback you are, the higher your QBR will be.

But the opposite implication isn't always true.

Now, part of the reason that you end up with situations where Quarterback X has better stats than Quarterback Y but a lower QBR is because it doesn't reward (or punish) you for garbage time play. In most games, even when they are winning by plenty, the Patriots don't really go to the "slam them with the run over and over" strategy, which means Tom Brady still gets plenty of yards/TDs/etc. in garbage time.
