| AlisLandale 12/09/18 8:57:38 AM #1 | Apparently in 2016 some Korean tv station decided to produce a show about teenage martial artists with attitude and then uploaded all 50 episodes to their official youtube channel. I'm fairly certain it's just a long commercial to sell toys to Korean children but I've gone through eight episodes in a single day now. Half the show is about this weak ass kid who wants to be a great martial artist and overcoming personal obstacles, and the other half is ridiculous side plots like pretending to be his own sister to get out of battling the villain of the week. The problem is mostly this though. If a Western studio does it, they'll make good use of the live action medium but likely miss the point of why people enjoyed the source material. No boats, wolves, forced mini games, hourlong tutorials, very few just because gatekeeping moments. You pick up your sword, your shield, and are on your way. That kind of simplicity is lost on a lot of modern games and its a shame. (To be fair, the last one had an interesting mechanic to keep Superman invincible) Give a Superman game to Rocksteady, or Platinum, I dunno. Travel back in time and convince Capcom to make a proper Superman beat-em-up.
