From: RayDyn | #059 Still can't wait for this game, and if nothing else you've got my monetary support when you release this, even if it ends up being a full price XBLA game.
From: ssj2foolmo | #039 We need to see this stuff in motion imo
Never!
From: McBonesII | #040 Now that you're possibly moving to XBLA and Steam, are you still using the generic music from that website?
Most likely, unless the publisher has a problem with it. Sounds good and is freeeee !!
From: 3DSRage | #041 Hey Aga! I have a request!
I have a project for school where I have to have a "media professional" review my portfolio, and my instructor said you would qualify.
So if you're up for it, I would very much appreciate it ^_^
Let me know and then I will email you or something.
XD, sure! I'll send you a PM with my email.
From: FFaddict1313 | #042 I have to say, the interface (health bar and stuff) kind of bugs me. It seems like it should farther out, more in the corner of the screen.
I'm just going from screenshots though, so whatever >_>
I'd like to have it off screen more, but have to have it out a bit due to different TV resolutions cutting off a bit of the screen.
More changes to boss stages! Some will limit how Chester controls to add EXTRA CHALLENGE !! or something. The "Style lock" may also apply to your character, jumping may be limited, speed, changed, etc etc. Going to have a screenshot of one of these new boss stages up later.
Probably shooting for mid-late April right now. All depends on when it gets finished up though and on what gets worked out with the publisher. Should have more concrete info on the publisher deal over the next few weeks.
There is going to be a boss for each style, and you now unlock that style by beating that boss. Each boss will also have "absolute control!" over his stage and the stage before it, forcing you to use his style for those two. (Might just be for his stage, but we'll see.)
This just allows me to get more creative with the boss stages without adding in six new art assets for every single object in a bosses stage.
At 6 styles right now. Standard, Bit, LCD, Block, Sketch, and Blueprint.
And nothing too exciting update wise, just working on a boss.
His fight stage is going to be like the Donkey Kong arcade game. Except with logs instead of barrels, different log types, and dangers from the environment. Also he goes crazy once you get to his level.
From: UOTY2011 | #011 Add a Tron style where it's all outlines and neon lights
That was one of my earlier test styles. Couldn't get it to look right, may give it another shot though. (<3 Tron, the original made me decide to go into computer animation. <_<)
Oh yeah, slightly delayed response to the number of levels thing. Going to be at least 30 levels in the game, going to be shooting for a much higher number than that though.
Also about done with the Blueprint style. May add a "faces" style or "x-ray" where everything is made of bones/organs/very strangeness. Also going to be adding a "castle" level setting similar to Mario castles. Should have lava and such.
From: Delseban | #003 I don't mean to complain, but did you ever consider spending time making more levels instead of making the same ones look different 5 times?
Nope, never thought of it. The game is just going to be one level. MWAHAHAHAHA.
And a small update, preview of the blueprint style !! Was originally going to just make everything look like building blueprints, but it was incredibly boring. So decided to just make everything strange.
