korra and assami did flirt through out book 4 thoe and they where best friends before hand (they became best friends in book 3) so your point on dating is invalid

look you watched the show through a heteronormative lens i watched it with the eyes of a lesbian woman so i saw it all for what it was

you can play spin doctor all you want but every scene I and others called romantic build up ended up as romantic build up and that is how history played out

you ASSUMED they where strait so did not see anything but friendship and no both of them are bisexual woman who hooked up for a first date

do you complain this much about sokka and sukis relationship which was done over 1 episode a episode which the 2 hated each other for most of (and i ship these 2 by the way)

you did not read my post at all did you the creators where hinting at a romance between korra and asami again if mako had been in that scene at the end of book 3 every one would take it as romantic

and i once again ask why a first date (which is what the series ended on) even needs build up in the first place

Im saying that they did so after the fact. Which doesnt negate the possibility of last minute changes or retcons

how is it a retcon for a creator to directly state what the intent was

and the fact people where calling the scene romantic when it happened as in when the book 3 final first aired people where calling it ship tease of korrasami (which it was)

Since the show did not actually build anything up, it is indeed a retcon.

You're the only one mentioning a first date. Nobody else has.

how is it a retcon when the creators confirmed shortly after the final aired that yes all those moments where romantic again i personally saw them as what they are

and the show ENDED on the two going on a first date have you even seen the show?

Mako was a love interest from the beginning so your first point is absolutely correct, just not the way you thought.

Also, you know damn well they're using the comics to try to subtly retcon things.

you are factually wrong its not a retcon at all it was confirming what fans had said at the time it aired

once again why does a FIRST DATE need to have so much damn build up

korrasami has more build up than verrick and jullie got and they get married (by the way i dos hip these to)

but oh no 2 seasons building up to a first date is till not enough

He's not wrong at all though.

if mako had been the one comforting korra at the end of book 3 NO ONE would see it as anything but romantic (it even gives a close up of hand holding during this scene)

oh and guess what the comics confirm this is when korra started to develop feelings for asami the super romantic scene was *gasp* romantic

What was the 1st date?

the ending was the first date after spending much of book 3 growing very close (the vast majority of there screen time is shared) and book 4 flirting with each other they go on a first date at the end of the series

It's prequel was better, and also wasn't booted to online because of how bad it was doing.

actually it was put online because most people where watching it there they still aired every episode on TV they just moved premieres to online where the teenagers and young adults (largest demographic for the show) where watching it

hell im pretty sure the show still airs on nicktoons alongside last airbender
