You know what makes me suspect of GameStop's Hidden Fates supply running out? Finally got around to opening all my boxes now I feel COVID free and am out of my 14 day coronatine. Every single box came with 1 of each type of tin. So they sold out but just happened to be able to distribute every box evenly? Mine definitely weren't packed at the same time either as they came in different size boxes and arrived at different times. And 12 boxes seems a relative large sample size given last time I ordered less boxes and got a mish mash in every box

I half wonder if someone at Gamestop themselves realized they could sell for more outside the norm given how they jack up old game prices when demand runs dry too.

So I finally sent 15 cards to PSA to get graded. 2 Charizards and 3 Umbreons along with others. After I sent, I pulled a THIRD charizard, so I'm done opening. Currently have 28 packs left that I'll sell and make money on (paid 200 CAD for those, through tins).

I listed my base HF cards (1-69) about a week ago, made $100-200 on that. Still going... listed some shiny vault regular holos last night, and will list the rest today.

All in all, I'm set to make very good profits, only selling a few sealed and doubles, while collecting the set for myself.

It's probably less good for straight profit business, to open packs.

But after 350 to 400 packs, you have fair odds at every card. I got lucky with getting 2 charizard and 3 umbreon in 350 packs, but don't forget that you can sell everything else you pull. It's not bad!

SE, the pull rates in HF are basically double your money. Just a heads up. It's not like regular packs. There is one spot in the pull that can be a reverse holo, or one of 94 shiny vault cards.

I spent $180 the other day, and pulled like $400 worth of ungraded cards.

My plan is also to get through distributors, but the landscape is different in Canada. I've also been enjoying collecting so much, I keep dipping into my sales to buy more HF....trying to build a side bank before I go full businessman, but I'm up to 400 transactions and $8200 in sales since end of March!

For the record, I will hold onto those Charizards for 10 years probably!

I've now spent about $3000 Canadian, but I pulled 2 Charizards that look like a strong possibility for PSA 10 so those alone should make up for all that I've spent. Crazy! Will be sending in, along with three umbreons, for grading. Wish me luck!

I've started selling the base set, not shiny vault, with some good success so far! Made about $250 in sales, and I still have a lot of doubles to sell, and haven't cracked the shinies since I think those will go up in price fast!

It does seem that prices are going back up. I saw 12x Tins going for $250-260 like a week ago. Now they are back up to $350-375. It's like there was a surge in availability or something.

I could probably sell mystery packs with a guaranteed shiny vault card and regular holo for $20, tbh. Using only my doubles and putting umbreon in the mix

Yeah the plus point for me is that the post office is enroute to work to me on a very quiet road with little traffic. So for me to drop stuff off in the dropbox would literally add 1-2 minutes to my journey since I can print labels at home. Having stuff for sale and just dropping it off whenever it sells shouldn't be a big deal. Right now I'm on furlough so my time is whatever right now (post office is like 7-8 mins away)

What I might start doing is 'Mystery packs' to shift slower selling stuff. Like 2 Det Pikachu boosters, 1-2 random boosters and a random GX card for like $15 or something. Maybe toss in one of those pins and call it $18.

My advice there would be to show the breakdown of what is distributed in the packs, and offer something sought after in there. I might be doing a similar thing!

Sold my first thing on eBay.

Sold for $35 (4x Hidden Fates Boosters) which means after fees and shipping cost, I'm left with $27. It cost me a smidge over $17 for the tin. So like $10 profit and I still have the empty tin and GX card I could sell.

The profit would be good if things sold quicker. Feel like I would have to have 50-100+ items listed at any given time with like 10 items selling a day for it to be worth investing any time into. Maybe if I just sell in bigger bulk or something.

Yeah, it also helps to sell small things to increase your limits so you can work on getting good feedback and more listings. You won't go from 0 to 100 and it might take a month or three to get something started, but you'll have more freedom as you can list more things.

I wanted to see what the market is like so I know what is worth buying and what isn't whenever I see the stuff. Then if things start to become sparse or go up in price I can hold off on selling.

Like the Detective Pikachu stuff seems like a good deal but nobody buys or looks at it so buying more seems pointless as I'll take forever to sell what I already have.

Shining Legends stuff is easily accessible to me in local stores right now but if it doesn't sell much, there's no point me buying tons of stock of it. Right now it seems to get more views on eBay than other stuff but isn't selling so I probably have it overpriced.

Hidden Fates stuff is still accessible at a good price on GameStop so that seems worth stocking up on more. So I'll probably keep selling that and buy more too just so I don't have thousands of dollars of shit in my house

Yes, my wife was already saying I was hoarding too many things! lol! I'm having fun. In my ebay store, I'm still struggling to sell my promo cards and extras right now, but the demand should come. It is also getting views, but I think people are looking for potential psa 10s, so I might have to reconsider how I list things. My animal crossing cards are still selling for $30-$100 per day which is wild.

In terms of pricey? I got 12 full art shiny vaults. 2 most expensive other than Charizard are Darkrai and Gardevoir. I have potential PSA 10s with Articuno and Darkrai

I just opened one of my Hidden Fates tins to see what was inside and man if they are all like that, they are shoddily packed. The GX card looks like it was crammed in and so is minorly crumpled on the edges.

Also I am not sure if this is the norm but the packs look weird. There's like a white mark on the front and back of the packs at both the top and bottom where the seal overlaps. Like where it was pressed, it was either pressed strangely or the machine they use is leaving a mark on both the top and bottom seals. When I flip over the flap bit it looks fine. The bottom and sides of the packs are also crumpled a little from how they were shoved tightly in the box.

I'm tempted to just sell the tins sealed now rather than selling things individually as people may question if these are resealed. And the GX card (which isn't worth much anyway) is essentially worthless with the minor damage. And if they are all like that, I'm better just selling the tins complete.

Yes, i had this problem too, which made me open all the bad ones. I've kept a lot of the pristine packs for resale...maybe.

Have you been using untracked lettermail for small purchases? That's why they keep limiting me.
