I'm using the switch console after using gc for 10 years. I used gc, but liked the switch better so I'm sticking with that!

Name and ID are different. Names are chosen by the room creator, IDs are unique identifiers generated by the system. And IDs are the only things that matter for finding a room unless you're looking for it through your friends list.

These battle arenas actually make it super easy to get multiple people from the same group in to play each other. Much, much easier than before!

Oh, so you can make private rooms without being friends?

Question about arenas for people who know the answer. If I make one and sleep my game, will the room just stay open? It'd be nice to just make a continuous room for our division and just meet there for matches. Also for playoffs to give people a chance to spectate.

Furthermore: If you make a room with a password, do you even need to be friends?
