The thing that's annoying me is I can't get anywhere close to beating 32 fear, and Will need to hope the 6th weapon, new aspects or lifting the grasp maximum happen in the future because there's no way I'm gitting gud enough to do it, 32 fear in this is seriously like 40+ heat in original Hades, damn. Missing the shield more than ever now. |

Can't recall when the spell unlocks. Was thinking of typing them out but it's just too much - the common throughline for each of them is they need "1 of" a boon from 3 distinct categories, sometimes getting very specific (i.e. only 1 boon in one of the three groupings) but yeah you need 3 (or more) boons from a god before you can get the legendary. the exception being Hermes whose requirement is just "1 of" nine of his eleven other boons (the two that don't qualify are Tall Order and Quick Buck) actually screw it I forgot I could take screenshots. here's all the legendary boon requirements (besides Hermes) (I'm sure gamefaqs will compress the hell out of it but ideally it's still legible) |

I need to look what was in the Hades 1 EA unless somebody wants to tell me... |

| MartinFF7 05/15/24 2:59:23 PM #130 | Bad news: I posted earlier about the spike in requirements to go from 29 to 30 grasp and I thought I couldn't do it because one of the ultra-rare items was never showing up again (needed 3 of it) but I finally got the other two I needed, and went and upgraded to 30 grasp and.... am then informed 30 is the maximum. Can't upgrade the grasp any further. So much for my dream of grinding to get somewhere in the 30s and open up another card or two, I'm sitting on like 2000+ psyche too. Damn!! I mean ideally the cap gets raised with later patches or the full release, or maybe this will indeed be all there is... Anagram posted... I've found an actual use for the wands: you can hide behind the pillars in the Eris fight and use the special to summon fireball rings around them. Eris will chase you around them and get hit, letting you cheese 70% of her fight. yeah I think 100% of my Eris wins involve cheesing with the pillars. Just went back and checked and majority of my wins are the axe and staff, omega attacks each go through the pillar. I forget if the flames do too but I had 1 win with them, nice. of course in the midst of your cheesing you need to watch out for the attacks that blow the pillar away, I remember the first time I learned the lesson of not having either pillar to cower behind, lol. |

| MartinFF7 05/14/24 9:54:29 PM #125 | staff double strike hammer is my fav, yeah sometimes it's nice getting into position to hit people on both sides with your omega attack but realistically you're just aiming in front of you the vast majority of the time. Coarse Grit I love so much, not sure I've lost a run yet where I had it, i wonder if/how much they're going to nerf it. Up the damage cap, up the earth element requirement? hell, switch it to Legendary status so it shows less often, I can see that. the key to the dinky flame weapon is the Hera magic-prime-refresh boon, then just holding down attack and moving/dashing around the field (even better with the Aspect of Eos). Hera boon auto-tops-up your magic so your omega doesn't get stalled, and I love when I get to pair it with the moon "80% slower" hex, even more if you get the ability to attack faster while the hex is active. Just need to make sure it's paired with something giving you a good attack boost, the Zeus chain lightning is handy there too. But in any case, it is my clear #2 next to the Aspect of Pan knives!! |

But thinking about a day in the future where I do change computers, if I resume the cloud save setting option when I've made a ton of progress offline... it would update the cloud save to have all my offline progress, wouldn't it? as I'm typing this I tried it again and it worked with the cloud save setting again so I guess I'll just punt this down the road for the next time it happens and I freak again, lol. Anagram posted... Finally beat Chronos. I was using the Staff of Momus, but I never used its special ability. Turns out, you can do a lot of damage if you get every possible +beam bonus. hmmm, Momus was the "omega special heals" one? the staff is the only Melinoe aspect I'm still using since I have a good groove with omega attack spam, but I failed with it in my last Chronos run. might need to investigate Momus! |

But it doesn't mention what hours on Tuesday? why don't I recall having this problem when I was playing the hell out of this game last Tuesday? There's no indication anywhere that Steam is down either and it still gives me the "Play" option for the game, damn... Most importantly I never want to get that message again. Would choosing the "Go Offline" option from Steam menu solve this? How can I make a local backup copy of my save file in case Steam fucks my save file over? |

| MartinFF7 05/13/24 4:40:05 PM #114 | Was thinking about getting the Hades II soundtrack, I bought the first game's when I played it, but I don't think I'll get this one (yet) because it's once again bringing a pet peeve of mine that the first game's soundtrack did - massive switchups and motif changes partway through a song so you can't just listen to the "song" you want to on repeat. I don't remember who I was fighting in So I decide to look it up on youtube and Supergiant has all the tracks posted and sure enough they did it again. Check out Kenri posted... nvm I found it, it's the skulls =) Congrats on the win!! but I think you may be the only skull appreciator in the topic, lol. I mean, it's like the bow if the bow had 3 arrows and you had to go retrieve the arrows by hand isn't it... |

| MartinFF7 05/13/24 12:34:58 AM #107 | Yeah, I won with the skulls earlier only because I was lucky enough to stack a ton of Cast stuff, most importantly the Zeus boon that lets you move around & choose your cast placement, and I was just running around spamming omega casts both phases of the fight. Not sure I even did a skull attack. Each of the other 4 weapons I've got an "aspect" that I'm very good with and comfortable using but none of the skull options work for me (Flames Aspect of Eos is 100% my jam). Even the skull omega attack is underwhelming. I figure any skull run I have is going to be majority dependent on casts and/or specials, though I still need to try the skull aspect with the "glory" powerup |

| MartinFF7 05/12/24 4:20:05 AM #95 | Even better news which I just learned by trying it - in the stone, "Trial of the Labrys" (2nd trial) has no Arcana equipped but your boons are so outrageous that it's beyond easy. Everything gets one shot and I think Hecate went down in 4 hits (the first three being damage gated) and it gave me "prophecy fulfilled" for that. So, crisis averted! Feels like a loophole that should get patched out but I'll take it. Re: Knuckle Bones, every time I'm mulling what to equip it's on the shortlist and every time it doesn't make the cut, I haven't used it once, lol :( maybe I should... I did use the Evil Eye during my last 4th region run for the first time, at least. |

| MartinFF7 05/12/24 1:42:10 AM #93 | If anyone was wondering, 29 grasp is as high as the "routine" upgrades in the arcana go; to get to 30 is a giant boost (29 requires 350 psyche, 30 requires 1000 psyche + two other extremely rare materials and 3x of each to boot). which is fair enough I guess, already feeling a bit overpowered at times (just finished another aspect of pan run with the daedalus special that fires your special directly ahead, heroic special attack, Coarse Grit to tank the 999 damage attack to only give 15, lol) WazzupGenius00 posted... Came real close on a run where 100% of my Magick was primed so I always had the Zeus lightning boon active for having no magick ....dude this is ingeniously creative, damn, I never would've thought of that. I'm also putting off my "clear Hecate with no Arcana" run because I know it's going to be brutal, but maybe not so bad with Luckier Tooth and upgraded animal companion but yeah. |

Even knowing where to go to avoid the instant kill attack there is just too damn much going on in that screen, Hades 2nd form wasn't anywhere that bad. And the last time I swear he was pulling some shenanigans on me re: the instant kill attack, like he made it look like there were 2 safe spots, and i was standing in one and i guess it was a fakeout because i got blown away for one DD, and then lost my last because he attacked me and the attack moved me outside the safe zone just when the 999 hit?? totally b.s. but anyways, at least I'm consistently getting to that fight now and keeping it competitive when it seemed insurmountable a day ago. However I am like, this close to just trying to get Coarse Grit every run to avoid that nonsense, lol. |

Can you get Hera in the Underworld? I've never seen her except on the surface. I never had either but I tried equipping her keepsake and she showed up at the start & again latter in first region. Any more than that and it is mad frustrating. I'd still say it's worth not dying on purpose since there's still resources you can obtain in that 4th area (or 3rd area if she tags you with it at the beginning of there) but yeah... probably quicker and more worth your time to bail. For when it stops, I at least have the record now on when it happened for me. Nights 3, 5 through 8 and 10. And 4 and 9 were two nights I died before 3rd area so probably only reason I avoided her... wow. But ideally you dont get any after night 10 either. Zigzagoon posted... Finally got my win at roughly my 20th run. Was close a few times before but every time I felt like I just had a build on life support and didn't feel confident at all. Friendship with axe ended, sister blades with pan aspect are my new best friend. I also just got my first win after 30 nights, and just like you I had never felt build confidence until that run. It helped that I got the exact combo that I needed - the ability to throw your cast, a couple of cast powerups, lots of special powerups and the pan aspect. Still not feeling confident in being able to win without the right series of dominos falling but still. (Final boss spoilers) |

I wasn't even omega smashing them at that point, i remember just tapping regular attack right next to mobs of enemies in 4th region and breezing, lol... good times. I choose priming boons more than I probably should, really need to have the rapid magic refresh boon to offset it. |
