| Gobstoppers12 06/04/24 11:52:27 PM #16 | Solid 8/10, runs a bit long but the music and cinematography make it feel worth sitting through. This is a bit more of an issue on rewatch.
Some silliness in the overall plot, but generally it's a cool mystery with underlying themes of corruption and gray morality, which is a Batman trademark at this point. The action, somewhat rare as it is, looks amazing. Especially that car chase. I also love the focus of the main character arc. Bruce throwing everything into the darkness and vengeance of Batman while It's everything a Batman "origin" movie should be, imo. --- (He/Him) I write Naruto Fanfiction. Applause, cheering, whistling, etc. It was the first time I had ever been in a theater with that kind of a reaction.

It feeds into the narrative that he has successfully managed to cultivate among his base that the system is "rigged" and that he's being "targeted" by "unfair" investigations and accusations. On paper this seems like it should weaken his position substantially, but historically, nothing that should weaken Trump's support has ever actually done so. I'm just saying, now is the time to remember that focusing on "Trump is a convicted felon!" as an argument isn't actually going to dissuade the people who still support him.
