Blue Oyster Cult will release a new album, Ghost Stories, on April 12, their first new release in over three years.

The LP features various songs recorded between 1978 and 1983, with the exception of one track from 2016, "If I Fell." Included is the only known recording of their concert cover of "Kick Out the Jams" by MC5.

All of the album's songs were originally recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape, and have now been transferred to digital audio. George Geranios, the band's original audio engineer, produced the songs, along with Steve Schenck and Richie Castellano. (Castellano is also a current member of Blue Oyster Cult.)

The album's full track listing, along with its first single, "So Supernatural," is available below.

In a press release, Ghost Stories is described as a "fitting finale" to the band's "recording legacy." It is currently available for pre-ordering.

Blue Oyster Cult currently has half a dozen tour dates lined up for later this year, the first of which is scheduled to take place on March 9 in Lincoln City, Oregon.

Tencent was reportedly making a new Nier game with Square Enix but stopped development in December. It was reportedly a mobile game that was in the works for nearly two years.

According to Reuters, the development costs and franchise rights to the Nier property were expensive. Tencent reportedly had trouble deciding how to monetize the mobile game so the company decided to cancel the project.

Another Nier game on mobile already exists called Nier Reincarnation. However, it's shutting down later this year but will receive more content before sunsetting. However, this game's cancellation is far from the end of Nier. Producer Yosuke Saito has strongly implied the series will continue with director Yoko Taro, albeit at an unclear future date.

One of Tencent's other projects is reportedly a mobile version of Elden Ring that's trying to emulate Genshin Impact's free-to-play model. Tencent has been trying to become a bigger player in the games industry, as it completely owns Riot Games and has a 40% stake in Epic Games.

However, CEO Pony Ma recently said that he feels Tencent has "achieved nothing" in the space over the past year, as its competitors released new products, and with 2023 being one of the most notable years for high profile game releases.

How's Tomb Raider Anniversary?

Hated.

A lot of the changes were awful. The story now has Lara has a pacifist and most of the boss fights were removed. Level design and some puzzles were changed and not for the good. The Atlantis levels are underwhelming since Crystal Dynamics removed the fleshy walls and replaced them with rocky terrain. Cistern was butchered and combined with Tomb of Tihocan so Anniversary has 1 less level than the original game.

Sadly, the game also has QTEs and the boss fight with the T-Rex is pathetic.

Duel back in time with the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection

Revealed at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY special event in Tokyo, Japan, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection is a new digital title in development, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game.

Coming to the Nintendo Switch and Steam, Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection brings together the earliest Yu-Gi-Oh! games ever released. The collection will include titles that werent previously released in the West.

One title has already been confirmed: 2000s Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists for the Game Boy Color a title that was previously released only in Japan. More details will be announced in the future, so please stay tuned.

For going on two decades, amateur programmers and professional scientists alike have engaged in an unending quest to get the game "Doom" to run on, well, everything.

Now, an MIT doctoral candidate has taken the Doom thing to a whole other level by getting it to run sort of on some E. coli cells.

In a video about her stunning accomplishment and its accompanying pre-peer-reviewed paper, MIT biotech student Lauren "Ren" Ramlan admitted that getting cells to actually play Doom "would be a behemoth feat that I cannot even imagine approaching."

Nevertheless, the mad scientist points out that it's acceptable "within the culture" of "Doom runs on everything," or DROE to those within said community, to have the game's characteristic 8-bit frames "displayed on the screen of a novel device" and there are few screens more novel than Ramlan's gut bacteria cell arrays.

Konami will release Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection on Switch, the company announced today.

A pair of classic titles have been confirmed thus far. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2 will both be available. They released on the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance in 2000 and 2001 respectively, but only in Japan.

Note that other games will be a part of Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection. However, well need to wait for a follow report to find out which ones are lined up.

News regarding launch timing for Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection has not yet been announced. Konami has also not announced a western release at this time.

Not true at all. It has all ready been confirmed that Pokmon Bank will still work. Only the paid passes will be discontinued.

With the discontinuation of the Nintendo eShop service for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, the Pokmon Bank service for Nintendo 3DS will become available at no cost to users. You will still be able to transfer the Pokmon youve deposited in Pokmon Bank to Pokmon HOME even after the paid service is discontinued, and youll still be able to bring Pokmon into Pokmon Bank from compatible titles. However, youll need to be enrolled in a paid Pokmon HOME Premium Plan to do so.

Bug Fixes

If the player used items to level up an Inkay to Lv. 29 or lower, the game would stop responding to button input. This bug has been fixed.

Some materials needed to craft TM223 (Metal Sound) were previously dropped by a Pokmon that appears in only one version of the game. This issue has been resolved. Shieldon Claws are no longer required to craft TM223 (Metal Sound).

After players installed the Item Printer in the League Club Room, under certain circumstances players could get stuck between the Item Printer and the wall. This bug has been fixed. Affected players can now get unstuck by speaking to the character next to the Item Printer and selecting I want to print something!

When a Pokmon under the effect of Dragon Cheer was switched out of battle and then reentered that battle, its attacks would still have a heightened chance of landing critical hits. This bug has been fixed.

Certain moves that Calyrex could learn via TM only while united with Glastrier or Spectrier would remain in Calyrexs move set even after Calyrex separated from Glastrier or Spectrier. Furthermore, even if those moves were forgotten, Calyrex could then remember those moves without being united with Glastrier or Spectrier. This bug has been fixed.

Other select bug fixes have been implemented.
