2025 is looking really bad for Vtubing in general.

Ex Production kawaii member Kohaku Yumekui has gone on indefinite hiatus (sort of, it's not a graduation) due to a real life career pursuit that's looking good for her.
She'll still post the odd video but won't be as active.

Ex Production kawaii member & current member of the idol group "Novamore" Lua Asuka has announced her graduation... the stream will be on May 30th 1PM JST.
Her reason is that she has to give up this dream to pursue a new dream she has. She didn't go into detail, so it could be a real life career or maybe she's been hired by a corpo (I'm coping).
She will be streaming as normal until then... There's also an upcoming solo & a group song.

Everything ends & it sucks.

I quit around 2005 time because of real life circumstances, I have fond memories of playing Maplestory with my old overseas friends.

I had a few characters, mained I/L mage, my alt was a Maple Star sin IIRC (I loved collecting Maple equips).
Also had a permanent Maple Island beginner character, loved the grind.

This might work out as a nice time killer on my laptop.

You're right, it's a sad reality of who goes first.

I only use Twitter for convenient feedback to companies & Youtubers who post schedules.
I don't use the site for general socialising.

I'll move whenever the companies & Youtubers move to another platform.
There's Bluesky (Bsky) for an alternative that seems pretty similar to what Twitter used to be.
It was founded as a decentralizing project by the previous CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey, before Musk bought Twitter.

I feel the same, I absolutely loved the 1st game, finished all of the main & side story arcs, only thing I didn't do was fill the hearts for every NPC.
I'm not one for playing early access games, so I'm waiting.

Next up is clamping down on all forms of communication amongst the citizens.

I had the thought of if Elon's Starlink satellite internet is a possibility for that, at least where wifi & other broadcast signals are concerned.
Probably wouldn't interfere with cabled internet though, unless Trump shuts down alternative internet suppliers operations in America.
