If you are consistently owing a lot or getting a lot back then your withholding is wrong. If you work a regular W-2 job you can fix that easily. If you get income outside of a W-2 then it can get more complicated but it's still something you can correct if you feel like it.

It's not a big deal if you owe and it's under the safe harbor rules so you don't get penalized. But if you're consistently getting money back then that's money that you were supposed to have during the year, and you accidentally gave the government an interest-free loan.

1. Red Ribbon Army takes over for a while (probably, unless some of the other strong dudes steps up in Goku's place)
2. Gero is maybe still a mad scientist hanging around but probably his androids won't be as strong this time without as much strong people data to collect
3. Someone like Pilaf who's searching for the dragon balls maybe possibly actually assembles them and becomes immortal
4. Eventually Raditz comes. But if Goku's already dead not sure if he bothers destroying the planet or not
5. Elsewhere in space Frieza becomes immortal with Namek's dragon balls and takes over the galaxy, even more than he already did
6. Majin Buu is eventually resurrected, if Earth is even still around. Supreme Kai almost certainly can't stop him on his own. Earth and presumably the entire universe is then taken over by Babidi and Buu unless Immortal Frieza can do anything about that

The Boondocks comic got a lot of heat and censorship. There is and was always outrage over its messaging and humor.

The game as a whole is just Battlefront 1 and 2, except the developers added mountains of bugs. And the graphics are ran through an HD upscaler that somehow makes the game's filesize as big as Elden Ring. The multiplayer is / was completely and utterly borked, even moreso on initial release. The singleplayer is fine, except they somehow broke the cutscenes that would play at the end of every mission.

Ideally you just play the original releases, which are dirt cheap and aren't as horrifically buggy. But if you really can't get them to work then the new one is ok for singleplayer i guess.

It's pretty disgusting. I had zero expectations. In the lead up to the game there were people that thought they would add new features like online Galactic Conquest and new new characters (not just the Xbox DLC ones). I was expecting they would just do the bare minimum. Add nothing. Just "HD-ify" it and charge 35 dollars. Instead they did less than nothing. They took a finished game, destroyed it, and charged 35 dollars.

I'm glad i stopped playing super smash bros because nobody even knows most of the characters these days we have Marth and Girl Marth and Fire Marth and Buff Marth and Wizard Marth and Professor Marth and British Marth and Elf Marth and Plumber Marth and Pikachu Marth etc

There are some sports where women are disproportionately represented at high levels. Mostly sports that are very high-endurance, which are necessarily also very high mental fortitude, like ultra marathon running and marathon swimming. But it's hard to think of something in the major 4 which are obviously more athleticism and explosive strength.

Extremis comes up again in Secret Invasion with the Super Skrulls. Emilia Clarke's character has it and also the power of almost every other notable superbeing that's ever been to Earth. So she's casually hanging out as one of the strongest characters on the planet now.

The priest of that church was among those gassed when he did that. It is so remarkable it's an onion article story that would've killed any other person's career. But with Trump it was just another weekly story.

Because there are more users on twitch - especially more horny teenagers. Also there's less competition from other camgirls. But there are so many camgirls on twitch now too so I guess that's less and less true.

Years ago twitch used to have rules like "you MUST be playing a videogame of some kind". And even then people were pushing it. Like making the game a tiny box on the screen while 90% of the stream was cleavage. Then at some point a lot of Korean users started coming to twitch, and they were very into mukbang. So twitch made an exception that mukbang is allowed even without playing a game. Then they eventually just dropped it and said you don't need to play games - so people started pushing the limits again and the yoga, hot tub, pool streams and whatever got popular among the horny fanbase. And then there was the highly controversial thing some months ago where twitch relented and tried to allow some degree of "artistic nudity" to cover the hot tub streamers and also figure out how to allow games with mild nudity without turning the site into a porn site. But they underestimated how quickly their site kinda became a porn site and so immediately backtracked.

Unfortunately twitch still can't figure out where to draw the line.

The actual more controversial thing about wookipedia is that they write all of their articles in past tense. Because the story happened a "long time ago". But it can get really grating to read things formatted that way. Like when it's not discussing the narrative, just descriptions of things

I dunno if it's underrated. It's also not overrated. I think it's properly rated. PSX JRPG fans know it's pretty cool, but you shouldn't go out and buy a PSX to play it.

Personally I love LoD, but I think most of your enjoyment is entirely dependent on whether you think the addition system is cool or not. If you think it's aggravating or tedious, then the rest of the game won't cover it up.

I think reddit in particular made it popular in large part because of the upvote/downvote system. Which usually runs on momentum and the first few downvotes or upvotes decide whether everyone else will upvote/downvote. And so people write /s to be safe because if some idiot misreads the comment then it could get downvoted to oblivion.

It is pretty neat how RoS was bad in a way that receives almost no discussion. And TLJ is bad in a way that receives mountains of discussion.

And TFA is just boring.

People buying crypto, because they think crypto will go up, because other people bought crypto and it went up, is what makes crypto go up. It's the definition of a ponzi scheme. In the end, someone is left holding the crypto bag when no one else is left to buy it.

A lot of people in crypto know this. That's why there's so much urgency in crypto to try to get other people to buy crypto. It's not altruistic. No one's urgently telling me to invest in my 401k. Some people did it with NFTs, and to a lesser extent meme stocks with Gamestop though. Because those were similar "greater fool" schemes. If you can get other people to invest in crypto, then the holdings of people already invested in crypto are more valuable. That's why it has that kind of cult following. Some people in crypto don't seem to realize that that's why they're proselytizing it so hard. They're proselytizing just because they were proselytized to, and think it's what you're supposed to do if you're a crypto investor. Those people are probably going to be holding the bag in the end.

Could you make money in crypto? Yes. You could also make money going to a casino and betting it all on black. You also would have made a lot of money if you invested in Bernie Madoff's investment fund. As long as you exited the investment before it collapsed.

At some point a few years ago it felt like crypto nerds started to realize the optics were looking bad and that it was obviously a ponzi scheme tightly associated with scams and ransomware. And so I remember a big pivot to "actually, I'm in it for the technology. Blockchain is the future". But it's been over a decade and we still haven't found the thing that blockchain is supposed to solve that regular distributed databases don't already solve. And the promise that it's gonna solve anything starts to ring hollow as time goes on and all those blockchain startups went nowhere. So I notice people don't even really pretend that blockchain or bitcoin are useful anymore. Just that you should invest because it will go up in value (because other people will buy it, because they think will go up in value... etc....)

People here acting like she was always as everywhere as she is right now.. She was definitely never not popular, but there are days in recent months where I see three separate Taylor Swift articles on front-page news. That wasn't the case a few years ago.

I'm not going to pay more than $60 for a game. And I usually wait for it to be less than that anyway. But the good news if you want games to cost more is that a lot of AAA games started incorporating free-to-play style microtransactions into the game on top of the sticker price, so you have the opportunity to pay more if you like.

Is this example supposed to be one of those things where DBZ fans debate for decades whether someone was SSJ1 or SSJ2, because the visual difference between the two is negligible and SSJ2's lightning is inconsistent.

Well despite how fans on the internet discuss the game, Persona 4 is not a romance simulator. The "dating" is like less than 1% of the game. All of the social links including the girl social links have their own stories and the romantic parts are just a couple minutes of dialogue at the end.

So imo this isn't really a problem.

Moltres has always been by far the worst of the three birds anyway.

Bonds, if you want. Or you could add more international exposure. But realistically if the US Total Stock Market is collapsing then most everything else is also collapsing, for multiple reasons.

Who says balance is permanent? There was balance presumably for centuries before the prequel series, then it was disrupted by the Rise of Sheev. Balance was once again restored when the Empire was destroyed, but came under threat again by the New Order.

You're right that is true but in which case it sure is a pretty lame prophecy. Imagine being Yoda and being like 900 years old. You watch as shit's all cool in the galaxy for centuries upon centuries. There slowly starts to be a disturbance in the force. But then the prophecy shows up saying some kid is the super special chosen one who will do amazing things to right the wrongs in the force. Then it turns out the amazing thing is that things were just slightly ok for a handful of years. Before they got super super bad again. And someone else REALLY brought balance to the force.

Rey is obviously more the super special chosen one than Anakin by that perspective. And the only thing Anakin has over her is the virgin mary birth thing. Which seems unnecessary in retrospect since obviously non-jesus-birth people can be extraordinarily strong in the force. I don't think anyone ever liked that plot point anyway. Or the chosen one plot point for that matter.

The old rationale was that Anakin brought balance to the force as the prophecy foretold by defeating Sidious at the end of VI. But now that Palpatine somehow returned a little bit later, and had a collection of clones and sith followers secretly building super death star destroyers on the super secret sith planet making him more powerful than ever before, it kinda feels like the prophecy was just bs.

Unless you want to really stretch it and be like "Anakin brought balance to the force by temporarily pacifying the dark side for like a couple decades and being related to people like Kylo, Luke, and Leia who played a significant part in more solidly defeating the dark side later on"

They vaguely allude to it. NPCs will say things like "two pokemon of the same level can have different stats" and "a trained pokemon is stronger than a newly caught one of the same level".

Ironically this caused even more confusion in my experience. I remember trying to explain to my friends that there's no benefit in deliberately trying to catch a lower level pokemon. But they heard of the the "stronger if you level it up on your own thing" and took it the wrong way. I remember trying to explain EVs when EVs were still a weird internet only nerd thing to know about and they were like "ok so that proves it's true and I should level them up on my own". And I'm like "NO - if you're going to do 100 battles with a level 5 caterpie or 100 battles with a level 4 caterpie they'll have the same EVs, one will just be a higher level at the end. You're still wasting your time!"

There was a similar misconception I'd heard friends say that Rare Candies are worse than leveling normally. And again, it's like, yes kind of. If you're going to not battle at all ever then the Rare Candy pokemon is worse than one that leveled up with battles. But if you battle the same number of times but one had Rare Candies along the way then it's the same exact thing except one will be a higher level in the end.

Yeah Stadium 2 had some pretty good movesets on a lot of pokemon too. Stadium 1 to a lesser degree. They obviously knew Amnesia Mewtwo was broken enough to be suitable as a final boss all by itself but there's still a lot of jank I'm not sure they were aware of. I don't think there's any explanation of EVs and IVs (or stat exp and DVs, whatever) anywhere in gen 1 / gen 2. And even if there were an explanation that it exists, there's certainly no explanation on how you should optimize for it.

It always kinda surprised me that even back then they were clearly somewhat aware of how the metagame should develop for competitive battling. But there was absolutely nothing in RBY or GSC that encouraged you to think about it even a little bit. Like they spent all this dev time designing minmax properties of pokemon knowing less than 0.1% of players would make anything of it or even know it's there. Even the Battle Tower in Crystal is easily brute-force-able. So it's only until the Battle Tower in RS and to a greater extent the Battle Frontier in Emerald that they really threw a bone to the super nerds to use the system they built.

Yeah. If you just don't think about the plot at all then it's rad. A bunch of the fight scenes are amazing.

Everyone talks about Aeris, but when I played the game I thought the later twist was way more mind-blowing and never got talked about as much - where we learn that Cloud was the generic Shinra grunt in Nibel, the entire cool guy SOLDIER background is plagiarized from Zack, and despite just being a dorky dropout loser he miraculously defeated Sephiroth anyway

The standard estimate for the S&P500 yearly growth is usually around 7-8% including inflation. It's higher, usually estimated between 10-12%, if you don't count inflation. So this is true. Don't discount the power of compound growth.

what's sad is that they don't realize that Venom is a huge name, a huge draw, and a huge character. Venom didn't just draw because he's a spidey badguy, he's been building a solid fanbase ever since the 90s when he had a moment where he basically overtook spidey's fame.

they keep dishing out these spidey villain characters as if we give a shit. we don't give a shit. we give a shit about venom and carnage. that's it. everything else isn't worth throwing money into. but they just don't get it.

They know. But they don't have a choice. They're desperate for a universe but they literally only have obscure Spider-man characters to work with.

They also seem emboldened by the fact that MCU proved obscure characters can lead to successful films. Guardians of the Galaxy were nobodies to the general public before their movies, and even Iron Man was relatively obscure to the general public pre-2008. But unfortunately the movies need to be good movies. And Sony keeps messing that part up.

Trump, Bernie, Hillary, and Biden are all the oldest or would have been the oldest presidents ever. Other younger candidates ran. People didn't vote for them though. People voted for the very old people. I would like it if the president was younger too but I'm confused at why everyone is complaining about it now as if we just woke up this morning and realized that all of these people were old. If you voted for like Pete Buttigieg then I guess you can complain, but I keep seeing complaints about age from people who I know would've chosen one of the other similarly old people here.

The only thing to consider is that you approach retirement age, you should increasingly allocate some percentage of your holdings toward bonds. Retirement ETFs basically do this for you. But you can do it on your own too.
