It just hit me. I know why I like the N64 better and it is probably considered the most underrated aspect of it now a days. 4 PLAYER SPLIT SCREEN. That changed everything for me back then. Taking turns? Not a thing anymore for the most part. Super Smash Bros 4 player? Mario Party 4 player? Goldeneye? Mario Kart? Perfect Dark? So many more. Playing with 4 people instead of 2 was game changing and made it much more fun than the PS1 to me. That combined with the PS1 having horrendous load times. That's fair, you've got 4 player Smash Bros, Mario Party and Mariokart vs. 4 player Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. --- https://philoetryblog.wordpress.com/ |

The actual game was incredible, but the result was bizarre. In simple terms: the teams tied the game, then they had a tiebreaker round which was tied again. Then the trophy was awarded to England based on a strange metric (boundary count). I have an Xbox One S as well. Still going well (for now) after 5ish years. The only games it has had a problem with are Forza Horizon 4 and 5. In both cases the game started freezing at certain points and couldn't progress further without it crashing. --- https://philoetryblog.wordpress.com/ |
