so throw in an 'epic' sequel to a critically acclaimed game, stacked with an incredible soundtrack and really nice art (for the time), with a "deep" mechanic of tons of characters, and so on. it makes sense. the nitpick was there but there was a large sense of "this has never been seen before!" of course, these days it doesn't look like much. --- Disclaimer: There's a good chance the above post could be sarcasm.
