Social media major X (formerly Twitter) has admitted to taking down accounts and posts related to the ongoing farmers' protests in India.
The site has claimed it took down the pages after the Indian government sent them "executive orders".
The orders were "subject to potential penalties, including imprisonment", X said in a statement, adding that it "disagreed with these actions".
X's clarification was shared on their official handle @GlobalAffairs.

Multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos has sold another 14 million Amazon shares, worth around $2.4bn (1.9bn).
The latest sale brings the total number of shares he has sold in the firm over the last nine trading days to about 50 million, with a value of around $8.5bn.
The tech giant had previously said Mr Bezos would sell up to 50 million shares by the end of January 2025.
His sales of Amazon stock comes after they have risen by more than 76% in the past year.
Mr Bezos, who is the firm's founder and executive chair, had previously last sold Amazon shares in 2021.
He has also given away shares in Amazon as part of his philanthropy, most recently in 2022.
As Mr Bezos moved to Miami in Florida from Seattle in Washington last year, he will save almost $600m in tax on the $8.5bn worth of stock he has sold.
Gains above $250,000 from the sale of shares or other long term investments, are taxed at 7% in Washington state. Florida does not have state taxes on incomes or capital gains

US prosecutors have charged an alleged member of the Japanese mafia with conspiring to traffic nuclear materials.

Takeshi Ebisawa, 60, tried to sell uranium and plutonium that he believed would be transferred to Iran to build a nuclear bomb, it is alleged.
Mr Ebisawa and a Thai co-defendant were previously hit with weapons and drug charges in April 2022.
He faces life imprisonment if convicted of the latest charges.
US authorities say Mr Ebisawa - who is being held in a Brooklyn jail - is a senior figure in the Japanese organised crime syndicate, known as the Yakuza, with operations in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand and the US.
The US Department of Justice said Mr Ebisawa and his "confederates showed samples of nuclear materials in Thailand" to an undercover agent from the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
