Blow sucks too much as a person for me to feel good supporting this, and it also seems generally pointless as a remaster.

Im sure it does, but by the time Preserved Hope pops up over your head, the effect is over and isnt in your menu anymore

I got that "Hope Preserved" thing to pop up myself and checked through my boons and effects, and nothing seemed to correlate with it. I'm pretty sure it healed me, and my guess is that it happens when you survive several consecutive rooms with very low health, because I had definitely just done so when it triggered.

--Just did a search and it's that Well of Charon item (after the duration, heal X amount). Once it triggers it isn't on your screen anymore so that's why I didn't see anything explaining it.

They might address that at some point; in some of the original myths half of her body is black and half is white, so maybe its a slight spin on that. I havent seen anything about it in the game yet though.

Got credits, got 32 eggs, when I collected the reward for that I thought I did not see a single place in this game where I thought something like this would help so I have no idea what to do now. The two places it did something so far, there was nothing to indicate that it would have any effect beforehand. That will probably be the end of my time playing this because Im not just gonna go through the entire map using the item in every spot

Again fun game, but I am not seeing what elevates it to the level that people are giving it 10/10

I do have to admit that while Im enjoying this game, Im not seeing whatever is causing everyone else to heap such extreme praise on it. Its just a regular good game to me

First time I broke past Oceanus I made it all the way to the boss of the fourth area. Don't feel like I really learned anything about that one because I got too distracted by the adds

Double Fine is almost certainly living on borrowed time. They haven't released anything since Psychonauts 2, and not everything they release is a huge hit.

Phoenix Wright and TokiMemo are objectively not visual novels, they have their own genre designations. Its like saying Pac-Man and Wizardry are the same genre because the main thing you do in each is navigate a maze

any list without KOF is too America-centric, that game is huge in other parts of the world, particularly South America and China (though I've heard China prefers 97 over 98). For Tekken I went with 7 because that was when Pakistani players hit the scene and changed everything. The last spot was up in the air between Marvel 2 and MK, I think MK had a bigger impact overall
