Every so often I forget that twitter is a cesspool of idiots, then I see "Covid-19 in 2019" trending, and get reminded. Fani Willis' dad mentioned he knew about covid in 2019, before it hit the states, and people are tearing into him for it, as if covid didn't exist until Trump personally acknowledged it in March of '20.

It's actually a smart play for time.
He can make immunity claims in individual cases and then when they get shut down he can drag it out by appealing it to SCOTUS. All of this is make it drag till after the election, which he hopes to win and pardon himself or play the "You can't lock me up, I'm the president".

We should qualify this by saying that this appeal is for the lawsuits associated with him, not any of the criminal convictions. He's going to appeal those ones all the way if he has to.

The evidentiary hearing in Georgia is actually pretty interesting. It appears that one of Willis friend talked about her relationship, only for it to come out that Willis fired her and it ended her relationship with Willis

Where would one get the facts of this case? MSNBC seems to be erring on the the side of impropriety relating to lying about the advent of their relationship more than the relatonship itself as a means for removal from the case, if such lying did happen.

my ex didnt work and my lawyer said if i was divorcing her that the court would order me to maintain her standard of living which was basically open as many credit cards as i want and let my spouse figure out how to pay for them. so shes pretty much had unfettered access to my bank account to pay her dozen credit cards, car payment, etc. more than half of my income goes to her.
