Person of Interest is a very intriguing show with a very deep plot wrapped in big network mandated crime of the week-style formatting because they were afraid people wouldn't watch it otherwise. I don't know if I'd put it on the same level as Fringe or the Expanse but it's definitely got a lot going for it.

It's only crime of the week for a season or so though

I think most of the religious rules about not eating certain foods are basically primitive health codes. I believe shellfish spoils really, really quickly compared to other meat and fish (it's why we boil lobsters alive). That's the case even with modern refrigeration, it'd be even worse in ancient times.

I still remember seeing the MGS4 B&B unit trailer and thinking "alright, we've peaked, games will never look better than this" in terms of fidelity. Frankly I still think that anything past MGS4 on that front is extravagant. If every game released from today onward "only" looked that good I'd be totally fine.

I started playing through the series solely because that trailer was so gorgeous.

It's actually kind of wild how much of my teenage years cascaded from that one decision. I joined a MG RPG forum (lol) and met a dude that was my best friend for about a decade before we drifted apart.
