and the fact that they werent willing to re-license the music, and how this trailer makes the game look, makes it feel like this will be a crummy rushed port

I really doubt they want his stuff in still, though I don't think they've outright confirmed it's gone. They've not shown any hint of any of it though, and you'd think that if the boss themes were still in they'd at least show those to help deflect from the licensed stuff being removed.

We might not even get full confirmation until release, he's persona non grata and they just might not want to mention him at all.

Talking about the boss themes which were all done by the singer of Mindless Self Indulgence. He also voiced the first boss IIRC.

Obviously there's licensing issues as mentioned but I don't doubt for a second they would have cut his contributions regardless.
