We stopped being able to afford a vet when my dad pretty much lost everything in the 07-08 recession.

my dog's only bad habit is barking in inappropriate times.

Well he was a pomeranian. He would bite when bathed. Bite when we tried to cut his nails. If we approached him after giving him steak bones he begged for he would growl and go into attack mode.

But when he was young he was really nice. Always got super excited whenever we came home.

Im so sorry. You should have at least gone to a dog shelter.

The first bad call was getting a pet when you cant afford to take it to the vet. It didnt matter how healthy a dog is they will need to see the vet. You father should never be allowed to have a pet.
